You entered the star room and sat down to read at the table. After a while of reading through the pile of books, you found the one that was titled Useless Magical Items. You flipped it open and found the section about mirrors.

'The Mirror of Erised: a magical mirror that shows the veiwer the deepest, most desperate desire of their heart.

The name Erised is desire spelled backwards. The happiest and most satisfied person in the world would look in the mirror and see a reflection of them, exactly as they were, for they would then have no one and nothing more to yearn or desire for that the mirror could ever show them. But of course, it is intrinsically inherent for human nature to desire something greater than one's own self - meaning that an event wherein the mirror fails to carry out its intended purpose rarely, if at all, happens.

The Mirror of Erised was created before the end of the nineteen century. It is unknown who the creator was. The mirror is one of those magical artefacts that seems to have been created in a spirit of fun (whether innocent or malevolent is a matter of opinion), because while it is much more revealing than a normal mirror, it is interesting rather than useful.

Indeed, it became grimly apparent over the years that the mirror could bring more harm than good; many wasted their lives before the mirror, losing track of reality as they were deluded by what they saw and unable or unwilling to accept it as mere fantasy. Some were even driven mad by seeing their most desperate desire presented before them as a mere image confined within the frames of the mirror, unable to achieve what they are witnessing....' You read the passage to yourself before you moved to the couch. You laid down and kept reading.

Sometime had passes before you had placed the book, open and facedown, on your chest. You were almost asleep when Draco entered the room.

"(Y/n)? Did you find anything?" Draco said as he shut the door behind him. You heard him enter, but was too tired to respond. You felt the book move. "You are just too sweet." He whispered, as he draped the blanket over you. You're eyes flicked open. "Sorry, didn't mean to wake you." Draco said softly. You pulled the blanket closer to you and smiled.

"I was almost asleep." You yawned. You closed your eyes to go back to sleep.

"What did you find?" Draco asked.

"It's called The Mirror of Erised." You said pointing at the book that he had put in the chair. "It shows the veiwer what their heart wants." Draco picked up the book and sat down.

"What did you see?" He asked curiously.

"Me, you and three kids." You said without a problem, as you sat up. Draco turned a light pink.

"So your heart want kids... with me?" Draco said slowly and quietly.

"Yeah, but I already knew that." You replied. Draco was now turning a darker shade of pink. "And you saw me in a white dress."  You reminded him in a playfull tone.

"Yeah..." Draco said, still blushing. He looked into the fire that he must have started when he came in.

"What's on your mind?" You asked him. Draco, still pink, looked back at you.

"Do you remember a few years ago, when you met Zack in the Slytherin prefect dorm?" Draco asked.

"Yeah, he wanted to tell me something and you wouldn't let him." You said smiling. "Then you were going to tell me and Crabb and Gyole pulled you away."

"Yeah, that." Draco said, now red.

"I think I know what it's about." You said calmly.

"You do?" He asked timidly. You nodded.

"Does it have something to do with that white dress you saw me in?" Draco nodded. "And let me guess, you were wearing a tux." Draco nodded.

"I wanted to wait to ask you after we got out of school." Draco admitted.

"So, wait. I can wait." You smiled. "I figured you weren't ready to ask yet or you would have by now. Besides, we are only sixteen."

"Yeah, but we've been together since 3rd year." Draco said.

"That is only three years, Draco. Three" you pointed out holding three fingers up. "And even though I would say yes, we should wait to be having this conversation."

"I know..." Draco looked back into the flames and the room fell silent.

"Did you make any progress on the cabinet?" You asked, changing the subject. Draco shook his head.

"But, I'll try again later." He said, turning back to you. "It's getting late and I'm willing to bet you skipped dinner." He was right. You were so caught up in the books you lost track of time. "Good thing I brought some food down here with me." Draco said as he walked over to the table. Draco was holding a plate when you turned to look at him.

"You are just too sweet." You said smiling at him. Draco brought the plate over to you and as you ate Draco explained what he had tried on the cabinet.

"But yet, nothing I tried worked." Draco said, defeated. "And times running out." You put your empty plate on the end table that was between the chair he was in and the couch you sat on.

"Well, I'm sure you will get it. You're smart and talented." You reminded him. Draco moved to the couch and you rested your head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around you. You sat there for a minute enjoying his company before speaking. "It's been a while since we cuddled."

"Yeah," Draco said sleeply.

"Are you falling asleep?" You asked playfuly and set up. Draco nodded his head slowly with his eyes closed. "Then perhaps we should go to bed." Draco opened his eyes, smiled and pulled you back into him.

"I'm good right here with you." He whispered quitely. "I love you so much (y/n)."

"I love you too, my Slytherin prince." You whispered back before laying your lips on his.
