You fallowed Draco to the Slytherin common room entrance, and thought for sure he would have you wait outside. When you got to the entrance, Draco said the password and took your hand as the door opend. He pulled you inside. The Slytherin common room wasn't like the Hufflepuff common room in the least. The walls looked like the outside of a castle entrance with arches at the top. Large windows that looked into lake broke the walls up. They reached from floor to ceiling. There was two leather couches that faced each other and the fireplace was at the end of them. A large round table sat in the back of the room by one of the windows. You looked around at the beautiful architecture of the room.

"I'll be right back." Draco said and ran off. You walk up to one of the large windows. You could see out into the lake for miles. It had a green tinge, but it was beautiful. Noone was in the common room. You guessed the younger student had gone home while the others where up in the Great Hall at the ball. You could hear the water moveing along the outside walls. It was peaceful.

"What are you looking at?" Draco asked walking up behind you.

"Its gorgeous out there and the sound of the water is soothing." You said calmly.

"You're the one that's gorgeous." Draco said turning you around. "You in that dress, well, you're beautiful."

"You're just saying that to make me blush." You said smiling at him.

"Yeah, I am. But that doesn't mean it's not true." Draco said taking your hand and pulling to the fire. "Here." He handed you a small box. "This is just part of your gift. I wanted you to open your gift in a specific order." You took that box and unwrapped it.

"It's the hair pin I was looking at! You got it for me?" You said taking it out of the box.

"I did. I got it a while ago, before we came to school, along with this part." Drago said handing you a slightly bigger box.

"Can you put this in my hair for me?" You asked handing him the hair pin. He nodded and took it. While he was putting the pin in your hair you opened the secound box.

"It's beautiful." You said looking down at a necklace and earing set. But it also had a matching tiara.

"Every Princess should have a tiara

"Every Princess should have a tiara." Draco said turning you around.

"So I'm still..." you said and Draco nodded.

"My Hufflepuff Princess." He said, taking tiara and placing it on your head. You couldn't stop yourself. Before you knew what you were doing, you had locked your lips with his. Draco kissed you back and you both pulled away together.

"What was that for?" Draco asked sweetly. You blushed a little.

"Because, I love you." You said handing him the necklace and earings. "Could you put these on me?"  Draco took the box and you truned back around so he could put the necklace on. "Oh and take the niffler one off for me. I'll put it back on when the night is over." Draco did what you asked and even put the earings in for you.

"You look just like a royal princess." Draco said looking at you. You looked at your reflection in the window.

"(Y/n)?" Draco said. "If I would've asked you a week ago to the ball what should you have said?"

"Yes." You said immediately, truning around to face him. "I wanted you too."

"You did? But, we were fighting." Draco said confused.

"If you asked me while we all stood in front of the doors to the Great Hall waiting for the doors to open, I would have said yes." You told him. "I would have left Dameon in a heartbeat for you. I love you, Draco Malfoy."

"Why?" Draco asked sitting down.

"Because I love you." You said sitting next to him.

"Why do you love me? You said yourself, I'm a jerk. So, why do you love me?" Draco asked.

"I know the real you." You said softly, leaning your head on his shoulder. "I know the Draco Malfoy that is right here, right now. The one I've been looking for all year, is right here." Draco smiled.

"I love you, (y/n)." Draco said quietly. "Do you want to go join the rest of the school at the ball?"

"If you make me a promise." You said looking at him.

"You do know I'm not good at keeping those, right?" Draco sounded unsure.

"I know, and if you brake it I'll be ok with it. I don't think you will though." You said to Draco as he blinked a few times. "All I want, is for you to be nice to people for the rest of the night, and you to keep Dameon away from me."

"I can do that." Draco said smiling. The two of you rejoined the school at the Yule Ball.

You danced with Draco the rest of the night, with your head on his shoulder. The night grew late and it was 11:30 PM. The ball ended at midnight. You felt tired and as Draco held onto you you felt yourself drifting in and out of sleep.

"Draco?" You said after a bit. "I'm falling asleep."

"Do you want me to walk you to the Hufflepuff common room?" Draco asked you softly. You nodded and the two of you walked out of the hall. The night had been saved due to Draco. As the two of you walked back. Draco held your hand the whole way. It was nice to have him talking to you again. It felt like everything was like it was ment to be. You got back to the entrance and you said good night. Draco gave you a good night kiss and you went inside and up to your bed.

"Was that Draco I just saw kiss you?" Sam asked crawling onto her bed.

"Yeah, let me tell you about my night." You told her all about the nights events as you got changed and Sam helped you take the jewelry off that Draco gave you.

"So he calls you his Hufflepuff Princess?" Sam asked. "That's so sweet."

"I've been his Princess since we first got together back in our second year." You said gleefully. You crawled into bed. Live was all good agian. Even (n/n) seemed happy. He had curled up at the foot of your bed like a cat and was soon sound asleep.
