"So you got detention, huh?" You said to Draco in Charms class the next day. He told you all about it. "Serves you right. I told you not to mess with it. Did the baby dragon get away?" He gave you a dirty look. He was still mad at you for telling him he deserved what he got when he got beaten up my a Weasley. This remark didn't help matters. Neither of you spoke to each other the whole class, or the whole day for that matter.

Later that night you, you sat in the common room in front of the fire trying to focus on your many essays you had. Sam had joined you in hopes that it would be easier, but it was of  no use. Draco was on your mind. He was there alot lately.

It was getting late. While you layed in your bed feeling melancholy, you held onto the niffler necklace around your neck. You didn't like being made at Draco. That's why you were never mad for long, but he was mad at you. That felt worse. He had refused to egknowgled you in any of your classes. You wanted to cry, but fought the tears back. You could see why he was mad at you though. You were always trying to make him be nice to others. Why couldn't you just leave it? He was a bully and you hated bullies, so why did you have a hard time hateing Draco? You couldn't sleep that night. The sun was comming up before you realized just how late it was.

The rest of the school year went by slowly. You tried to talk to Draco to no alvial. It was just no use. Draco hated you. You were sure of it. It was as if you ceased to exist in his eyes.

On the last day at the school, Dumbledore announced to the school that Hogwarts was saved by Harry Potter and his freinds, something about a philosopher's stone. Gryffindor won the house cup along with the Quidditch championship. You sat at the Hufflepuff table staring at that strange Malfoy boy, with a longing gaze. He wasn't so strange anymore though. What would the summer break be like? With Draco living next door, it was going to be hard. You wished you were still friends with him.

The train ride home was much longer than you remembered. Kathy, Sam and Sebastian were talking to each other the whole time, while you looked out the window in a daze. You played with the necklace Draco gave you.

"I'm gonna go for a walk." You said leaving the room. You wanted to be alone for a while. It took some time, but you eventually found an empty caparment. You sat down next to the winodw with tears in your eyes. Summer was starting, and you were still fighting with Draco. You didn't want to fight with him anymore. Why did you care? Why did it hurt? Trying not to cry, the door slid opend. You looked over to see the one and only Draco Malfoy. 'What is he doing here?' Your thoughts were going crazy, but before you could organize them Draco shut the door.

"You've been crying." He said sitting across from you. You couldn't stop the tears. They came out like a dame had broke loose from a river and flooded the land below it. "What's the matter?" He asked concerned. It wasn't that you didn't want to answer him, it was that the words wouldn't come out.

"(Y/n)?" He looked genuinely worried. "I feel like we need a talk before we get back." You nodded. Draco moved to sit beside you.

"I'm the one who made you cry, aren't I?" He said wrapping his arm around you in a hug. You shoock you head no in response. You didn't want him to feel bad because it wasn't his fault. You felt that it was your fault he hated you. If you had just let him be, and not tried to control him, he wouldn't have gotton mad at you.

"Then, what's got you so upset?" You pointed at your chest.

"M...me." you managed to get out.

"You?" Draco was confused. You nodded your head viciously. He gave you a real hug. You were so surprised, you stoped crying.

"It's all my fault you hate me." You said fighting back more tears. He pulled away.

"I don't hate you (f/n)" you looked at him shocked. Looking into his eyes, you realized you had never noticed they were a silvery gray color. His eyes were mesmerizing. You felt a tear being wiped off you check. Did Draco Malfoy, the school bully, realy just comfort you?

"Look, summer is here. My father's not gonna let me out of his sight." You looked at him confused. "I'll send Arrow over as often as I can." What was he going on about? "I have to get back to my friends. I just wanted to tell you to expect Arrow." Draco hugged you and than left the room.

He didn't hate you. Why did he act like he did? He was so confusing. He's nice one minute and the next he's cusing trouble for others. Why did you even care if he liked you or hated you. Why did it hurt when he was cold to you, you shouldn't care.

Your eyes were puffy from crying. You couldn't possibly go back to your friends. They would know you were crying then ask you 'why'. You couldn't possibly tell them. They wouldn't understand. You sat by yourself for a while before the door slid open agian. It was Sebastian this time.

"We were wondering where you went to." He said sitting across from you next to the window. "Is everything ok?"

"Yeah." You said. " I just wanted to be by myself for a little bit; headache and all." You lied to him with a smile. The two of you went back to Sam and Kathy. The rest of the ride went by quickly. The Hogwarts Express pulled into the station and you said good bye to your friends before meeting up with your parents to go home and wait for Arrow to show up at your window.
