"Please, just get away from him." Draco pleaded.

"Why do you care?" You rolled over into the hippogriff's feathers.

"I'm begging you." Draco said with worrie in his voice.

"Go away." You said sighing. "You only care because you feel bad."

"(Y/n), I care because..." Draco paused. "...because I care about you."

"Go away!" You said a little more demanding.

"(Y/n)!" You sat up and faced Draco when he said your name.

"Did you know this beautiful creature is on trial for his life because of your stupidity?" You asked him coldly. "Buckbeak is a sweet and kind animal." You layed back down on Buckbeak's large leg. Draco stood there waiting for you to get away from the hippogriff. "Go away." You said sternly to him.

"Your friend told me about (n/n)." Draco said taking a step back.

"You don't care, so don't pretend you do!" You spat.

"But I do..." Draco said before he truned and walked away as you rolled back into Buckbeak.

Time flew by and Draco kept to himself around you. (N/n) was feeling himself again and Ravenclaw flattened Hufflepuff in the Quidditch match at the end of November. There was going to be one last Hogsmeade trip before the holiday vacation. You lined up with the others and headed off to the town. Kathy and Cedric went on their date and Sam and Sebastian disappeared. You walked into Honey Dukes Sweet shop by yourself. Draco was in there with Crabbe and Goyle. You walked around the shop ignoring them.

Draco's pov

Draco spotted you. Why did it hurt so much that you didn't want to talk to him? Goyle was saying something but Draco wasn't listening.

"Hold this and stay over here." He said handing Crabbe a chocolate frog. Draco walked over to you. You were looking at some chocolate wands.

"Don't run off." You heard Draco behind you. You rolled your eyes trunning around. "How's (n/n) doing?" You walked away.

"(Y/n)? Are you ever going to talk to me again?" Draco asked following you. You ignored him and walked up the cashier, payed for your sweets and left.

"Why are you still trying to get her attention?" Perkinson questioned Draco. He gave her a dirty look.

"I mean, come on Drakey, she broke up with you. Forget about her." She said pulling him by his arm back to his friends.

Your pov

After the day at Hogsmeade was done you layed in your bed staring at the ceiling with (n/n) on your chest. The day at Hogsmeade had worn you out. It must have done the same to Sam because she was sound asleep. You sat up, moving your niffler to the foot on the bed. You couldn't sleep, though you were worn out. Over the summer, on nights you couldn't sleep, Draco didn't have a problem helping you drift off. Even if you and him were still dating, you couldn't go to the Slytherin common room. Students from other houses weren't aloud into one that were not their own. You also didn't know where it was, just that it was in the dungeons.

Why was Draco on your mind again? He was someone you wanted to avoid. Though it worked in reality, you couldn't escape him in your own mind. You layed back down with a thud. Draco had broken his promise. He may have acted like it bothered him; that you didn't want anything to do with him, but you knew it didn't. If it did, he wouldn't be such a pompous jerk to others.

The sun started rising before you knew it. You sat up again. Soon the sun was all the way up. You headed down to see Hagrid and Buckbeak. You knocked on his door hoping Hagrid was awake. There was no answer, so you walked around the hut. Buckbeak was being feed some fish by Hagrid.

"Hi Hagrid." You said. He truned around just in time for Buckbeak to get excited.

"Yes, hi Buckbeak." You said bowing to him. He bowed back.

"He seems to like you." Hagrid said.

"And I like him." You said walking up to the hippogriff. You patted Buckbeaks head gently.

"Have you heard what the ministry has decided yet?" You asked as you picked up a fish and flung it into the air. Buckbeak caught it and swallowed it whole.

"They wana' kill 'im." Hagrid said trying to hold back tears.

"That's not right." You said. Hagrid told you about a letter he got saying that because Draco was injured, Lucius Malfoy wanted Buckbeak to be put down. It was Draco fault that he got hurt.

"I bet Draco's father didn't hear the whole story. Draco most likely only told him that Buckbeak attacked and not the why." You said getting angrier at Draco. "I'll write to him and tell him the whole story."

"It won't change a thin'." Hagrid said. He was right, but you had to do something. You said good bye to Hagrid and Buckbeak and headed back to the castle for breakfast. Draco and Perkinson were standing just inside the doors as you walked into the castle. You walked passed them trying not to have eye contact.

Draco's pov

As you walked passed, Draco saw you. 'What was she doing out there?' He thought as Perkinson rambled on about a friend of hers. She was always complaining about someone or something. Draco never really listened to her.

"Drakey? Are you listening to me?" Perkinson asked.

"Not really." He answered in a plain tone and walked off.

"Hey where are you going?" She called after him. He didn't respond to her so she chased him.

"Your going after her again, aren't you?" Perkinson said annoyed with him. Still he said nothing. He walked into the Great Hall and sat down in his normal spot. He liked this spot because he could see you. He missed you talking to him, even if it was yelling.

Your pov

Draco had just walked in and sat down. He was watching you. You gave him a deathly look and went back to the conversation with Sam. You were telling her about Buckbeak.

"Before lunch today, I'm going to write to Draco's dad. I bet Draco didn't tell the whole story and Buckbeak deserves to have his side of the story heard too." You said as the bell rang. You got up and headed to your 1st class.
