Draco didn't budge from his seat. He gave his friends a look that told them to leave, and Crabbe and Goyle pulled Perkinson away.
"Draco." You said amazed he would treat them that way, although, he was the leader of their little gang.
"So, how do you think you did on your exams?" Draco asked. You blinked.
"You just made your friends leave, and your asking me about test scores?" You asked him. He nodded. "I think I did just fine." You were getting annoyed by his attitude.
"I think I did just fine too." Draco said, as if he hadn't just send his friends away. He leaned back in the chair.
"Did you hear about Lupin?" Draco said, changing the subject. You still looked at him like he was being rude. "He's a werewolf." Draco said, leaning into the table.
"So," you said, now upset that he thought that you would change how you thought of your favorite Defensive Agent The Dark Arts teacher. "Who cares if he is?" Draco sat back up, shocked.
"Don't you care?" He asked
"No, I've known most of the year. I've known sence Snape took over his class that one day. Don't you remember? He had us working on werewolfs." You said. "He wanted us to do an essay on them."
"Oh right, I didn't do that." Draco replied.
"I thought so. With you being Snape's favorite student and all, you wouldn't have had to do it. He would just brush it off." You spoke to him as if you were talking about someone else.
"Well, Lupin's leaving the school anyways." Draco said quietly.
"Did I hit a nerve?" You asked, clearly annoyed at him.
"I'm fine." Draco said plainly. You sat there wanting him to just go away. You wanted him to go because he was annoying you about Lupin being something other then a human. You didn't care if he was or not. It shouldn't matter. The two of you sat in silence for some time.
"Can I get you anything?" The waitress asked Draco. He ordered a butterbeer, and off she went.
"What were you doing in the star room last night?" You asked.
"I couldn't sleep after you yelled at me. (N/n) found his way to my room somehow, and he didn't help to get you off my mind." Draco said.
"I was on your mind?" Had you heard him right? Draco nodded and went on.
"I decided to walk down the corridor to the star room. I hoped, being in that room, it would help me feel like you weren't angry with me anymore. I most have fallen asleep because when I woke up, you were sleeping in the arm chair and I was coverd up. What were you doing there?" Draco asked.
"Here you go dear." The waitress came back with his drink.
"I couldn't sleep either. You had made me so angry yesterday, that I couldn't sleep. When I found you sleeping in the star room though, I couldn't stay mad at you. You're just too cute when you sleep." You said, as you could feel your face blush. Draco blushed a little too.
"I do miss you, Draco." You said after a few seconds passed. "I miss the sweet Draco I see in the summer time. That's why it hurts. I know you can be sweet, kind, and even thoughtful."
"And I promised I would be those things this year and didn't even make it off to train before I started to break it." Draco finished your thought. You nodded and looked at him with sorrowful eyes.
"You can go join your friends now, Draco." You said, standing up to leave. The end of the Hogsmeade trip was nearing and you joined the rest of the students heading back to the castle.
The last day of trem, test scores came out. You did just fine in all your classes, and the train ride home was long. Draco didn't come into your cabin like he usely did. Sam and Sebastian were off in their own little world across from you, while Kathy was with her other friends from her year. When you finaly made it back home, you tryed to just let the day finish off without a whole lot of talking, but your parents were asking questions about the year. You didn't want to talk to them. You were still upset that they were hidding something important from you.
"I don't feel like talking." You said as you climbed the stairs to your room. (N/n) scrambled up onto your bed and layed down. You sat down beside him.
Days went by with no word from Draco. Was he mad at you for basically calling him a teacher's pet? You hadn't heard from him sence you spoke to him in Hogsmeade. One day after lunch, you looked out your bedroom window. You could see people in the courtyard of the Malfoy manner.
"Why do we have to fight, Draco?" You asked as if he could hear you. You sat down on your bench. It wasn't long before you spotted an owl flying at your window, it wasn't Arrow though. You opened your window and let the bird fly in. It was a small owl with brown and gray fathers. You took the letter it was carring. It was addressed to you. You opened it up.
'Dear (y/n), Hope this finds you alright. This is my new owl, her name is Kelly. I've asked if it was alright if you could come and stay with me this summer. My mom said it was alright if It's alright with your parents. Please send word back with Kelly. Sincerely, your friend Kathy.'
You jumped up, startling your niffler, who was playing with a few cat toys you had for him. You ran down stairs and handed your letter to your mom. She read it out loud so your father could hear it too.
"Can I? Please?" You begged. Your parents looked at each other.
"We'll discuss it and let you know." Your mom said. That usually meant no. They had let you stay with the Malfoys all summer last year, why couldn't you stay with the Rosier family this summer? You walked slowly outside, (n/n) at your heals. You sat down under your tree on the bench. You looked down at the ground. How long would it take them to make a decision? You watched your niffler climb the tree.
"(Y/n)?" You heard Draco's voice say. You were still watching (n/n) in the tree. You truned your head to look at him. "I don't want to keep fighting." Draco continued, while sitting next to you.
"Why can't it just be simple." You asked.
"I don't know, but I can't stand being away from you for so long. All year you've been mad at me and I know it's my fault, but please don't be mad anymore." Draco looked sad.
"Draco, I'm over it. The school year is done. Let's just forget about it, ok? I tryed to stay mad at you, but I just couldn't. There were plenty of times I found myself in your arms again." Draco blinked when you said this.
"Like when Sirius Black got into the castle and we all spent the night in the Great Hall. Or how about the night we fell asleep in the star room?" You pointed out. "I miss you holding me. I miss you kissing me." You looked at him. "I miss you, Draco Malfoy. I miss being your Hufflepuff Princ..." Draco had shut you up by placing his lips on yours. Your eyes widened then closed. You kissed him back as his arms pulled you closer to him. You pulled back.
"Don't you have a girlfriend?" You asked.
"Yeah, I just couldn't help myself." Draco said. "I miss you too, and you will always be my Hufflepuff Princess. No matter how much we fight, I will always love you." Draco blushed, realizing what he just said.
"You... you love me?" Your heart skipped a few beats. He nodded.
"I love you." Draco said, pulling you into another tight hug. "I don't want you to be mad at me anymore. It hurts to much." You wrapped your arms around him, and hugged him back.
"You know you will have to brake up with Perkinson before I let you kiss me again." You said with your head on his shoulder. You must have grown over the school year. Last time he held you like this, you could lay your head on his chest.
"I know." Draco replied, playing with your hair.
