You walked down the train until you heard Luna and Ginny call you over.
"I thought you would be with your friends." Luna said closing the caparment door behind you.
"I was with them until I couldn't handle them talk about how one of the Death Eaters killed Kathy. I went looking for Draco and found him teasing your brother, Ron." You said to Ginny. "I didn't bother to scold him though. It does no good."
"Malfoy is such a jerk!" Ginny said angrily.
"He is sometimes. But he can be sweet too. But I don't feel like talking about that git." You may have told Draco you weren't angry with him, but you were. You spent the rest of the trip with Ginny and Luna.
When the train stopped and the doors opend, you discovered that a storm had rolled in. The rain was comming down so hard and fast it was hard to see or hear anything. You got separated from Ginny and Luna so you found a carriage and climbed inside.
"(Y/n)," you heard the voice of Goyle. You couldn't see him because of the storm. Lighting flashed and you saw that Crabbe was with him.
"Where's Draco?" You asked.
"We thought he was with you." Crabbe said. You sat there for a few more seconds when the door opened again and (n/n) jumped onto your lap. The lighting flashed again and you saw Draco climbing into the carriage.
"That storm came out of no where, didn't it?" Draco said sitting down next to you. "(Y/n)!" Draco said startled, finally noticing you sitting there.
"Hi," you said coldly, petting the wet niffler on your lap.
"I tryed to find you, but I couldn't. Where were you hidding. I even asked Sam and Sebastian if they had seen you." Draco asked.
"One of the places you wouldn't think to look." You answered and looked out the window, even though it was like looking at a black wall. The ride was tense but you eventually made it to the school.
As you and the other students made their way up the stairs to the Great Hall, a red water balloon fell threw the ceiling and hit Ron Weasley then another hit Potters feet, missing Granger.
"PEEVES!" McGonagall yelled. Above the crowd was Peeves. "Get down here at once!" She chased after Peeves only to slip on the wet floor. Draco laughed at her and those hit with the water balloons.
"You hush up, Draco. You should be the one who got hit!" You said walking away from him. Just then Peeves threw the last of the balloons and one of them hit Draco.
"HEY!!!" Draco screamed. He was drenched. You truned back to him.
"How does it feel?" You said before fallowing the others into the Great
Hall.
You sat at the Hufflepuff table and looked around. The room looked like it always did, but the staff table was missing a few people. Hagrid would be on the lake still with the first years and McGonagall was out ready to great them. The seat for the defense against the dark arts teacher was still empty. It wasn't long before the first years came threw the doors to be sorted. They all got into their houses and the feast began.
In the middle of eating, the storm gave a loud rumble and the Great Hall doors flew open to reveal a man leaning on a staff. The room fell silent and all turned to see the man. He was dressed in a dark cloak and wore what looked like an eye patch with an eye on it. A loud tapping sound came from him with every step he took as he walked to the staff table. The man stopped in front of Dumbledore. The two shook hands and then Dumbledore gestered him to sit in the Defense against the dark arts teachers spot.
"May I introduce our new Defense against the arts teacher? Professor Moody." Dumbledore announced into the silence of the hall. The students broke out in whispers.
"Uahm" Dumbledore cleared his throat. "We are to have the honor of hosting a very exciting event over the coming months, an event that has not been held for over a century. It is my very great pleasure to inform you that the Triwizard Tournament will be taking place at Hogwarts this year."
"You're JOKING!" Bellowed Fred Weasley.
"I am not joking Mr. Weasley." Dumbledore said. Then he continued to explain what the tournament was. You knew already because of Lucius Malfoy. He had already explained the event to you and Draco. You didn't like the idea of the whole thing. Wizards and witches competing for a cup was ludicrous. You looked over a Draco, who was talking with Crabbe and Goyle.
'I hope he doesn't plan on entering.' You thought. You didn't want to loose him. You had just lost your friend and you didn't think you could handle another tragedy. Just then, Dumbledore said something that make your heart leap. He had said there was an age restriction, no one under seventeen could enter. Beings Draco and you were both only fourteen, that ment he was safe.
After dinner was over, the students all headed to their houses. You snuck away and went to the star room hoping Draco would do the same. When you walked in the fire was already lit. Draco had beaten you there.
"I was hoping you would come here." Draco said standing up from the arm chair.
"I didn't want to leave things..." You started saying but Draco cut you off.
"I'm sorry I upset you." He said walking towards you. "I don't want us to separate like we did last year."
"Good, cuz I want the same thing." You took his hand and walked over to the couch. You both sat down and you leaned into him.
"How long have you been here?" You asked him.
"A while. I came here once Dumbledore was done speaking." Draco answered, putting an arm around you. You sat in silence watching the fire dance for a while.
"We should go to our houses." Draco pointed out. You shook your head slowly.
"I don't want to go there." You said sitting up. "If I go there, Kathy wont be there, and her death will finally hit me."
"I still say you should have gone to her funeral." Draco said pulling you back into him.
"I couldn't. She died saving me and Sam. It's our fault she's gone." You said starting to cry. You felt Draco's hold on you, tighten.
"It's not your fault, or Sam's. You guys didn't do anything wrong." Draco said, holding you close to him.
"Can we stay here?" You asked, wrapping your arm around him.
"Of course, my Hufflepuff Princess." Draco said sweetly. You smiled and closed your eyes.
