The day of classes before the Christmas break went by in a flash. The classes in which Draco were in, were ok. You managed to get through them without Draco bugging you. You had used a school owl to send your letter to Mr. Malfoy telling him what led up to Draco getting attacked. Arrow didn't like the idea that you didn't want to use him for this.

"I'm sorry Arrow, but I don't want Draco knowing I sent a letter out until his father gets it." You said petting the bird. He seemed ok with this response because he stopped flapping his wings.

The next day the students going home got on the train. Draco was one of them. You thought he would go home. Your Christmas break was starting out pritty boring. All your friends had gone home for the break. You stayed at the school. You were still mad at your parents.

On the day the students returned to the school, and while they were all in the Great Hall enjoying themselves, you found yourself walking to the abandoned classroom from last year. It had been a while since you had been there. You opended the door. It wasn't like you had left it. The walls, ceiling and floor looked like a night sky. It felt as if you were standing in the middle of outer space. The couch was still there but blended into its surroundings along with the fireplace. You shut the door behind you, excepting it to become pitch black. To your astonishment, it wasn't. The tiny dots all over lit up. It was absolutely the most beautiful thing you had ever seen. You found your way to the couch and sat down, when the door opened. You truned to see Draco standing in the door way.

"(Y/n)!" He said surprised. "What are you doing here?"

"Did you do this?" You asked him, with amazment in your voice.

"It was supposed to be a surprise. I'm not done yet." He said looking around the room. Before you knew what you were doing you had your arms wrapped around him in a tight hug. You knocked him back into the wall.

"It's perfect the way it is." You said pulling out of the hug smiling at him. "What else can you do to it?"

Draco's pov

Not knowing what to do or say, Draco just stood there frozen. You had hugged him for the first time in a long time.

"Draco?" You said. "Are you ok?" Draco looked at you and nodded slowly.

"Why did you do this?" You asked stepping back. Draco blushed a little. He missed having you in his arms.

"I..." he paused. "I'm sorry, I broke my promise. I don't want you to not speak to me. I miss you." Draco's voice sounded sincere.

Your pov

You sat down on the couch and Draco sat down next to you.

"I've been comming here all year to work on this." He said. You both sat in silence for a while.

"Look, I'm not ever going to be the nice guy you want me to be." Draco said but before he could go on you interrupted him.

"What do you mean, Draco? Look around you. If this isn't a nice gesture, then what is?" You asked waving a hand around the room.

"I'm not the person you think I am." He said looking down.

"Draco, I'm not asking you to be a saint. I'm just asking you to stop being a jerk to people." You said softly.

"All year you've been avoiding me." Draco whispered still looking at the ground.

"That's because it hurts to see you be mean to others, when I know your softer side." His eyes met yours then they moved back to the floor.

"My father got your letter just as I arrived." He said sounding a little upset. You didn't say anything. "He wanted to know if you were telling the truth." He looked up and met your eyes again.

"What did you say?" You asked as he leaned back.

"It was true. He wasn't happy I didn't tell him eveything." He looked at the starry ceiling. "Why did you have to tell him?"

"Buckbeak has the right to his side of the story." You said defensively. Draco sighed.

"You do know that he's going to be killed now, because of you." You said a bit on the cold side. He rolled his head to look at you.

"And your going to be mad at me if that happens." Draco stated.

"It will happen. The people who have to do it are afraid of your father; most people are." You leaned back too, with your head facing him. "I'll only be mad, if you don't own up to your mistake." You looked at the stars above you.

"Draco..." You sighed. "You still mean a lot to me. I wish you could understand though." You sat up. "But you don't. You don't care that I hurt when your being a jerk." You stood up. "Thanks for doing this. It is gorgeous, and if we were still together I would have kissed you." You said sadly before leaving the room and going back to your dorm room.

Draco's pov

'She would have kissed me?' He thought with a puzzled look. 'Is that what she just say?" He had changed the room for you. Why didn't you forgive him. He was sorry for acting the way he did on the train and before school started. 'Is she mad at me now for that hippogriff?' He asked himself, as he watched you leave.

Your pov

A weeks later Ravenclaw and Slytherins faced off in Quidditch; Slytherin won. If Sebastian was on the Ravenclaw team you would have rooted for the Ravenclaws, but because you didn't know anyone else, other then Luna Lovegood, in Ravenclaw, you secretly rooted for the Slytherin team. Draco was fast on his broom, and he looked like a jet a green light zooming around up there. You acted like it was the Ravenclaw team you wanted to win. You cheered when they scored and pouted when they lost, but you were happy that it was Draco who caught the golden snitch.

The next few days were quite. Draco had even been kind to people. It was more like he ignored them, but at least he wasn't being mean to them. He was however, still strutting around the school like he was royalty. You rolled your eyes every time he walked passed you telling people how he had caught the snitch right before the Ravenclaw seeker did. He was full of it.
