Christmas eve night came to an end. You said good night to Sam and sent Draco back to his own room. The night was long due to the fact you couldn't sleep. Christmas day was fast approaching, and for millions around the world, the day ment happiness. For you; however, it ment another day closer to getting back to Hogwarts and away from the people that filled the manner. The only person currently in the Malfoy's home you wanted to be around was Draco, and even though he was in the next room, he was so far away.
You spent most of the night in anticipation of the morning. It was around midnight when you heard a noice. You sat up in bed and looked at the shut door to your room. After a minute or so, you layed back down. You closed your eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep. Just as your dreams started to find their way to your eyes, you felt your bed move, as if some had sat on the edge. You opened your eyes see an unwelcomed guest.
"Dameon! What are...." You said, sitting up, before his hand closed around your mouth.
"Don't speak." Dameon whispered vishisly. Your eyes widened as he pulled his wand out with his free hand. He was two years older than you, and was of now allowed to do magic outside of school.
'What is he going to do?' You thought. He pointed his wand at you, and mumbled something. You froze. You couldn't move.
"Now, you don't have a choice." Dameon said, letting go of your mouth. "You denied me back at that school of yours, but there's nothing you can do to stop me now." Dameon whispered into your ear. He layed you back down, and bend over to kiss you.
'Get off of me!' You said in your head, as Damon's lips touched yours.
'Leave me alone!' You screamed in your mind. You couldn't speak, even if he wasn't kissing you. You wanted him off of you and out of your room. You would have pushed him off, if only you could move. Dameon pulled out of the kiss and looked at you with lust.
'GO AWAY!' You thought, and out of nowhere Dameon flew across the room. He hit the wall that adjoined Draco's room.
Draco's pov
Draco, who was sleeping soundly, awoke to a loud bang. He bolted up in his bed and looked at the wall where the noice had come from.
'That came from (y/n)'s room.' Draco thought and got out of bed. He ran next door, and without knocking, he opened your door and walked into your room.
Your pov
You still couldn't move. What had just happened? You heard your door open and soon heard Draco's voice.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"None your business, Malfoy." Dameon said, cruelly.
"Answer him!" You heard the voice of Lucius say, in his normal cold tone. You continued to stare at the ceiling, as you so badly wished you could look over to see who was all in your room now.
'I can't move.' You said in you head, as if Draco could hear your thoughts.
"She called me into her room..." Dameon started.
"Lier!" Draco yelled. "She hates you."
'Please, someone, please set me free.' You pleaded to anyone who could hear your thoughts. You pleaded over and over. Someone must have heard you because finally you heard a counter curse and you could move again. You sat up to see Narcissa putting her wand away. Your eyes fell on the small group in your room. Lucius and Draco had Dameon cornered. You expected to see others, but it was just the Malfoy family who had come to your rescue. Was is one of them that sent Dameon flying?
"What's going on here?" The hissing voice of Voldemort filled your room and everyone fell silent.
"He attacked me." You said pointing at Dameon. You told the group what happened. As you spoke Draco had sat down on the edge of your bed. Once you were done talking, you noticed Draco had been holding your hand.
"That's not true." Dameon said, but you glared at him.
"It is true, you monster!" You said coldly. "I want you out of my room. I told you last year, I don't want to see you! Now GET OUT!" Lucius pulled the boy from your room and the rest fallowed after him.
"Draco? Thank you." You said, as you layed back down. Draco smiled and closed your door behind him.
Draco's pov
"My Lord?" Draco said, as he caught up to Voldemort. He truned around to face Draco. "I was wondering, with Dameon still here and all, could I stay with (y/n)? Just to make her feel safe."
"You really care for her, don't you?" Voldemort asked.
"With my whole heart." Draco replied truthfully. "I would do anything for her."
"Then I will charge you with her protection." He said and walked away. Draco could hardly believe what he just heard. He wasn't going to complain though. Draco smiled and headed back to your room. He sat down on the floor in front of your door.
"I'll keep everyone from you tonight, my Hufflepuff Princess." He whispered, as he leaned agenst the door.
Your pov
An hour went by. You weren't able to go back to sleep knowing Dameon was at the manner. You didn't want to feel helpless again. You sat up and looked out your window. How long would you have to be afraid of him? You decided, perhaps, you could sleep better if Draco was near you. He wasn't exactly brave, but when it came to you, he was, or, at least, you felt he was braver. You felt safe with him. Voldemort wasn't going to like it, but you needed Draco tonight. You climbed out your bed and opened your door. Draco must have been leaning against the door because he fell in backwards as the door opend.
"What are you doing?" You asked him confused.
"I've been charged as your protector." Draco told you as he stood up. He told you how The Dark Lord told him to keep you safe. You took Draco's hand in yours and smiled.
"We still can't be together." Draco reminded you.
"I don't care, Draco. I can't stay away from you." You whispered and locked your lips with his.
