After the girls left, you truned back to Draco, who was walking back to his dorm room. You fallowed after him.
"Draco?" You said, as you closed the door behind the two of you. "What's going on?" Draco sat back down on his bed. "I haven't heard from you all week."
"I'm not feeling good!" He snapped at you. "Can't you see that?!"
"You could have sent an owl or contacted me on the crystal ball thing." You said looking around for it. "You don't even have it out?"
"I never unpacked it." He admitted and layed down.
"How come you haven't gone to see Madam Pomfrey?" You asked and sat on his bed.
"It's not something she can fix." Draco mumbled in a bad mood.
"Is it from your mission?" You asked, worried. He nodded. "Then let me help you." Draco shook his head no. "Draco, please." You said almost begging him. "Let me help you." Ypu deep breath and continued, "I know you want to protect me, and I know that you were told to protect me, but if I loose you, I don't know what I would do." Draco sat up. "I can't lose you, Draco. I just can't." Tears weld up in your eyes.
"I can't let you help me." Draco said calmly. "Why don't you go enjoy the match outside?"
"Because I'm too worried about you." You started at him for a few seconds. "Im not going anywhere, Draco."
"Fine." He sighed. "If you realy want to help, then come with me." Draco got out of bed. "Let me get dressed and I'll meet you in common room." You smiled and headed down to the large window you loved so much. You were watching the giant squid that lived in the black lake when Draco came down the stairs. "You ready to go?" He asked and you nodded. You fallowed him out the Slytherin common room and up to the Room of Requirement.
"What are we doing here?" You asked as a door appeared. You stepped inside after Draco.
"This is where I've been all week." Draco said. "I have to figure out how I'm gonna fix that." He pointed at an old looking cubard.
"I knew you had to fix something." You said walking over to it. "But I figured it was something less, well, muggle looking."
"It's a vanishing cabinet." Draco said casually fallowing you. "But for some reason it doesn't work." You looked at him confused.
"How is it supposed to work?" You asked him.
"I step inside and come out the other one in Nockturn Alley. But, it doesn't work right. A few years ago Montague, another Slytherin, was shoved in this thing by the Weasley twins. He ended up head first in a toilet."
"I remember hearing about that." You said amazed that it was this cabinet that did it. "So, how are you gonna make it work right?" You asked. Draco shot you a dirty look.
"That's what I've been trying to figure out but nothing I try works!" Draco yelled.
"Don't yell at me Draco. I'm only trying to understand." You snapped back. Draco stood there for a moment before speaking again.
"Now you know what I'm doing." He said annoyed. "So will you please just go to the quidditch match and let me work?"
"No, let me help you." You replied.
"I told you..." he started.
"And I said I'm not going anywhere." You interrupted him. He sighed again.
"And how exactly are you going to help me?" Draco asked. "Do you even understand why I need to fix this thing?"
"No, I don't know why, and I'm sure it's not good." You answered him. "But I told you once before, I am loyal to YOU, Draco, noone else, you." You said firmly. "I don't know how to help you but I'm sure I can find something the giant room of books we call a library." Draco looked at you like you were someone else.
"So, if this cabinet brought in Death Eaters...." Draco started to ask but stoped.
"I'm sure that's what he wants it for." You said. "But at this moment I don't care. We will handle that when the time comes. For now, let me help you fix it." You said calmly. Draco didn't respond, he just stood there like a staue. "Draco, I love you, and I can't loose you. If helping him means you live, then fine."
"But what about your muggle born friends?" Draco asked in shock.
"They are not weak, they'll be fine. They can defend themselves." You said positively. It was true after all, Sam wasn't the same weak girl from two years ago. "But if anyone found out it was us that held the Death Eaters enter to the school, it wouldn't be good. Not to mention Sam should hate me."
"Then don't say anything to anyone." Draco said, and truned back to the cabinet. "Noone I know acutely what I'm doing, except you, now."
"Not even Crabbe and Goyle?" You asked. Draco looked over his shoulder at you.
"Not even them." He said, then returned his focused on the cabinet again. You couldn't help but feel special.
"I'm gonna go see what I can find in the libary then." You said smiling. You got to the exit and stoped walking. "Oh Draco?" You called back to him. "Remember when Slughorn asked me to stay after class?"
"Yeah!" Draco called back. "Why did he?"
"To invite me to a Christmas party." You said, and walked back to him. "And I can bring a guest." Draco looked at you with a confused expression.
"Why would you want to go to that?" Draco asked seriously.
"Cuz, I want to." You replied smiling at him. "I get to dress up. You wanna go too?" You asked him. To your surprise, he shook his head no and returned to the cabinet. Your smile disappeared from your face in an instant. "Why not?" You asked him sadly.
