The days fallowing the incident with Mrs. Norris was filled with students talking about a chamber of secrets. You had gone to the library to see what you could find on the subject, but like most other students, you came up empty handed. In your classes, you asked the professors but they wouldn't talk about it.

It was cold outdoors with the smell of snow in the air and the grounds coverd in frost. You wanted to go outside to study, but because of the cold weather, you sat in the libary. You could hear some other students talking about the chamber. You listened closely in hopes to pick some information up. Something about a creature that lived in the chamber. And something about this very same creature wanting to kill 'mudbloods'. You got up and walked out of the libary. You couldn't focus on the essay you were working on with them talking about muggle-borns being murdered by some kind of monster.

As you walked down the passage, you saw a fellow hufflepuff by the name of Justin Finch-Fletchley, running towards you. Behind him stood Potter. For some reason people were afraid of Potter. You may not have been friends with him, but you didn't think he was a bad person. There was no way he could have been the one to hurt the caretaker's cat.

You continued to walk down the passage to an empty classroom. Malfoy was sitting in the corner alone. He appeared to be reading something intensely, and didn't notice you come in. You sat down across from him at the same table, and watched him while he read. You had propped your right arm on the the table and rested your head in your hand. After several minutes passed, before you crossed your arms on the table and layed your head down. Closing your eyes, you drifted of to sleep.

Draco's pov

An hour had gone by after you fell asleep. Draco finally put his book down and noticed you. 'How long has she been there?' He thought to himself. He moved the hair that had fallen from your face and went back to his book. Draco just stared at the words in the page, and lowered the book again.

"(Y/n)?" He said softly. You didn't move. 'Why did she come in?' Draco was confused. 'I thought for sure she hated me, or at least was getting close to hating me.' The thoughts in his head were swirling around like a potion being buried. You shivered. If was getting chili in the old class room.

"(Y/n), wake up." Draco tryed to wake you to no avail. He walked around to your side taking off his Slytherin robe. Draco smiled at you and layed the robe over top of you, and went back to his book.

Your pov

After a few minutes of the wormth of something layed onto of you, you opened your eyes. Malfoy was still sitting there, with his nose in the book. You looked at what was keeping you worm. You smiled with a deep red blush when you saw that it was his robe. You sat up.

"Malfoy?" You said quietly. He layed his book down still open. "Thankyou." You layed your head back down.

"Are you still mad at me?" He asked cautiously. You slowly shock your head with it laying on your arms.

"I'm still upset with you, but I'm not angry anymore." You mumbled.

"Do you know what the chamber is that's everyone's talking about?" He asked. You set back up.

"I heard some people talking about it in the libary. Do you know anything?" You replied.

"Not much. My father says the last time it was opend was 50 years ago, and a mud..." he paused "muggle-born girl was killed." You're eyes opend wide for a just a second. Did he just stop himself from saying 'mudblood' "I'm surprised the school wasn't shut down then."

"Yeah, I heard the other students saying that theres a monstrous creature in the chamber who wants muggle-borns dead and gone." You sounded full of sorrow. You layed you head back down on your arms, looking melancholy.

"There's nothing about it anywhere in the school." Draco said. "I've looked everywhere I could think of." You looked at him from the pillow made from your arms. "I asked Snap what he knew though."

"And?" You asked sleepily.

"He told me that it was a secret chamber that had never been found and that Salazar Slytherin put it in. Snap said it was just a myth and not to worrie about it. But..." he paused again, and speaking in a soft whisper, he continued. "If it wants to hurt muggle-borns, then it wants to hurt," he looked down at his book and spoke even quieter. "You." He blushed a little bit. You acted like you didn't notice, and closed your eyes again.

"I don't realy want to think about how this chamber monster wants me gone from this world." You told him. "I do have to admit that it scares me a little." You opend your eyes to see Dracos head on his arms on the table too.

"If your really so tired that you can't keep your eyes open, maybe you should go back to your common room." He said concerned. You smiled sweetly at him.

"I'm ok. Besides, if I go there, I'm not in here with you." You closed you eyes again when Draco truned a deep maroon color.

"If I stay here with you..." you started with your eyes still closed. "I'm save from the muggle-born murder." You spoke a lot softer this time.

"What do you mean?" Draco was perplexed by your statement. You opened your eyes again.

"Your a pureblood, right?" You said as if the answer to his question was obvious. He nodded still confused. "It doesn't want a harm a pureblood." You said drifting back to sleep.

Draco's pov

'She's definitely confusing sometimes' Draco thought. 'But I do like her. She's kind and beautiful. And for some reason, wants to be around me, even when she's upset with me.' He moved a strain of hair from your face again. 'Why does she do this to me? Why do I even care about her? She's a mudblood.' He kept his head down on the table, finding himself gazing at you.

Your pov

"(Y/n), it's lunch time." Draco was shaking your shoulder. You set up groggily. The room looked to be spinning. You stood up and hit the ground. Everything went black on you.
