The next few weeks passed. You and Draco had fun playing each other in potions class using the Polyjuice Potion. It was now February. Valentine's day was just around the corner. You laid on the couch in the star room one night when the door opened.
"You awake?" Draco asked. You set up. "Your friends are going to be in trouble." He said concerned, sitting next to you.
"Why?" You asked sleepily. "They keep putting these messages on the walls. I keep removing them but I can't keep up."
"You're the one removing them?" You asked shocked. The D.A. (Dumbledore's Army) kept putting messages saying things like 'Dumbledore's Army still recruiting'. Some the the members of the army has been caught and you did mention to Ginny that they may want to advertise more discreetly. The message never stayed up long when you spotted them. No one seem to know who was removing them.
"Yeah, it's me." Draco said in a exhausted tone. "And what ever they are doing to put the messages up, we'll, it isn't easy to remove." You laid back down, resting your head on Draco's lap.
"They'll give up soon." You said and drifted back to sleep, feeling proud of Draco. He was fighting to keep your friends safe. But when the fight between Potter and Voldemort came, Draco will be forced to be on the dark side. You understand that. With his father being a Death Eaters and him being one too, he didn't have much of a choice.
The next morning, you woke to find Draco sleeping where is sat down. You were still using him as a pillow. Draco looked so cute sleeping with the head tilted to one side.
"Draco," You said softly and sat up. "Wake up." You shook his shoulder a bit and he opened his eyes. "You feel asleep."
"Yup." Draco said sleepily and closed his eyes again. Smiling at him, you got up and let him lay down.
"My Slytherin Prince," you whispered as you pulled the blanket over him. Draco moaned a 'yeah?' "You are so sweet." Draco nodded.
It was Saturday morning and you thought this would be a good time to go find what you could about the curse that Salazar Slytherin put on Draco's ancestor. You let Draco a note on the table telling him you went to the library. You searched for a while but couldn't find anything about it. Instead you came across a book titled The Lineage of Salazar Slytherin. You checked out the book and headed back to the Star Room. You opened the door and heard Draco snoring lightly. Smiling, you sat at the little table and started reading about Slytherin's family tree.
"What are you reading?" Draco asked after a few minutes.
"Did you know that Salazar Slytherin was related to the Gaunts?" You answered him with out taking your eyes of the page.
"Yeah," Draco yawned. "Why?"
"Draco," you looked back a him. "My mom's dad was a Gaunt."
"What?" Draco asked confused. "How?"
"My grandfather was Morfin Gaunt." You said. "But his line is the book stops at him and his sister Merope."
"That's because that's where the pure blood line ends." Draco said dully, laying back down.
"So then why aren't we in this book?" You asked. "If Morfin is my grandfather, then I'm also related to Salazar Slytherin."
"I don't know." Draco replied. He didn't seem to understand.
"Draco!" You said trying to make him see. "He said I get away with things because of my blood line. Right?" Draco nodded and still laying back on the couch. "This is my blood line. I'm a descendant of Salazar Slytherin."
"That's cool and all, but that doesn't mean that's why The Dark Lord let's you do as you please." Draco argued.
"He said it was because of my blood line!" You picked up the book and showed it to Draco. "This IS MY BLOOD LINE!"
"Who is Tom Riddle?" Draco asked reading the name that was hand written under the name Merope.
"I don't know. Maybe a student that wanted to be related to Salazar?" You suggested in a 'not the point' tone.
"Anyone related to Salazar Slytherin has been able to speak Parseltongue. You can't." Draco pointed out.
"No, and I don't have the desire to. But that's not the point." You said as you pulled his feet off the couch and sat next to him.
"It kind of is." He replied sitting up. "There is no record of a descendant not speaking it."
"My mom and Aunt both speak it." You said calmly. "And there is always a first time."
"They speak Parseltongue?" Draco asked, shocked. You nodded. "So when The Dark Lord talks to his snake, Nagini, your mom understands it?" Draco asked. You nodded again.
"Here, look." You said handing him the book. Draco took the book, looked at it for a moment then handed it back to you.
"So why don't you just ask your mom? I'm sure she would know." Draco said.
"I think I will." You replied, shutting the book and standing up. You left the room leaving Draco to have the couch to himself again.
"Hey! (Y/n)!" Sabastien called down the corridor to the owlery. You waited for him to catch up and you walked into the owlery together. "What's up?" He asked.
"Well, Draco doesn't believe me but I think I'm related at Salazar Slytherin." You told him handing him the book you were still holding on to. Sabastien looked at you with shock and amazement. "You told him what you told Draco about Morfin being your grandfather.
"That makes sense." He said reading the page you showed him. "If your mom is the daughter of Morfin Gaunt, that would make you related." He handed you back the book. "So, why are you here?"
"Well, I was going to ask my mom for more information." You said.
"Then why not ask when you see her again. Your parents show up periodically." Sabastien asked.
"I guess I could just ask when she shows up again." You answered not knowing why. "I just don't want to wait. What about you?"
"I got a letter for Sam." He said.
"I got a safer way for you to talk to her." You said, while pulling out the paper to scribble on.
'Mom, I need more info on Grandpa Morfin. Draco doesn't believe he was my grandfather. Signed (y/n)' You wrote and handed the paper to Arrow, Draco's owl. Arrow flew off.
"About that safer way?" Sabastien said, watching the owl fly into the distant.
"Yeah, come with me." You said and led him down to the star room.
"Where are we?" He asked as you opened the door.
"Draco?" You said entering. "Sabastien wants to call Sam." Draco sat up making Sabastien jump. "This is the star room. Long story short, Draco make it for me a few years ago and this has been out hidding place since. Now I live here cuz the Hufflepuffs kind of shunned me. But this..." You pointed at the crystal ball. "Is the way you will talk to Sam. Draco made me one and Sam has it."
"I suppose you want me to show him how to use it." Draco said, getting up.
"Yes, I do. Thanks my Slytherin Prince." You replied, pecking his cheek. "I'm off to do more research." You said and left the room.
