Severide's POV
As I made my way downstairs to Antonio's basement, I walked in to see Matt looking pretty stressed out while talking to his niece. As she turned to look at me, she asked me..."What kind of name is Severide?" I looked at her and chuckled. "My real name is Kelly. But, I go by Severide because it's my last name. It's kinda like how your dad goes by Dawson at work."
Ava smiled at me and nodded. "Okay, just get to work then. I know my dad wants this place back for sports. I do too. I am tired of having to give up my TV time every time Football is on TV." I looked at her. "But, the Chicago Bears just started their season." Matt then chuckled and looked at me. "She means Soccer. Her dad is a big soccer fan."
"Why couldn't you just say Soccer then kid?" Ava looked at me. "Because it's not soccer...it's football. And your football is rugby." I was not happy when she said that. I was about to speak up when Matt spoke up. "Severide! Stop stalling and help me! I don't need you arguing with my niece. Then, I would have to take sides! And unfortunately, it would not be yours!"
I stared at him. "What? But we are...." I looked at him. "Dude, I kinda want to get action once Gabby can you know, do it again without getting hurt." Ava just looked at Matt. "Okay. That's my cue to leave." Ava just ran away to go upstairs. I then looked at Matt. "Wow, that was awkward. Now, what can I do so that we can get you in your new place by tonight?"
I looked at him and then sighed. "Go upstairs to the garage. There's some boxes in there. But it in your truck carefully. It's our delicates. Our new dining set so plates and glasses and everything. You break it, you buy me a new one!" Walking up to him, I moved to rub his shoulder. "Hey, just relax man. We got you. Now, let's get you out of here to relax."
Matt nodded and then got up to keep working on some more boxes before looking at me. "Well, get going. I'm not done down here. I need to make sure I have all of Matteo's toys then I'm done." I nodded before making my way back upstairs and out to Antonio's garage so that I could move Matt's boxes out of the garage and into my truck.
