Antonio's POV
As I made Matt and Gabby breakfast, I couldn't help but feel a little jealous that they were going to Florida on vacation this week while I was stuck working. But, I knew they needed it. They needed time away from all the stress here. I am just glad that I got dad to plea. They just don't know it yet. I am going to tell them before they leave. Well, I am going to tell Matt at least. He can then tell Gabby. However, I knew this would be a perfect way to start their trip.
That's when I heard Matt come out with my adorable nephew. "God, he has gotten bigger since I last saw him." Matt smiled and nodded as he kissed Matteo's head. "Yes, he has. Now, I am just going to put him in his rocker over there. He should be fine. Already fed, changed and ready to go. Now, I just need to finish my stuff and get dressed." I nodded, seeing he was just in jeans.
I then went to try and bring up a topic. "Before you go, I wanted to let you guys know something. I've been talking to my dad." I could tell Matt was not happy. "Please Antonio..." I sighed and looked at him, "It's good news. I wanted to let you know that I talked to him. I convinced him to plead guilty. He did and he'll be gone for at least 5-7 years." Matt smiled when I said that.
"No trial, no nothing?" I nodded and then went to hug him. "I can work my magic with him but, he's out of our lives for good now." Matt smiled as he hugged me and then let me go. "I am just wearing jeans so, I am going to get ready. I am also going to tell Gabby. She is going to be so happy that we don't have to deal with him for a while. Just please watch him."
I nodded and smiled. "Now go, we need to get you on the road soon." He smiled and then made his way back to his bedroom to talk to Gabby.
