Gabby's POV
When Matt asked me whether I want to use the babysitting service they have here at the hotel so that we could relax together at the pool, I was nervous. I mean...if it was Antonio (who was coming here in a few weeks), I wouldn't second guess whether I wanted to leave Matteo with him at all because I trust him. However, I am not too sure about the hotel.
"I mean, you trusted a complete stranger paramedic with him earlier today. What's a couple hours? Maybe we can do breakfast and then...take a morning swim before we get him back around lunch when you need to feed him again?" I looked at him. "Oh, I thought you meant like all day." He shook his head. "Oh god no. You really think I can go all day without seeing him?"
I chuckled and smiled before kissing his chest. "Sorry, I guess it's just me getting worried. You know how protective I am of him, not wanting to loose another baby." Matt then looked at me and then kissed my forehead. "Does this have anything to do with our experience with Louie?" I sighed and couldn't help but nod. "I get he is our biological child but...I am still traumatized."
Matt understood this and then nodded. "It's just, I want to take a swim with you and it might get loud. Are you really going to want to join me for a swim if it's loud out there?" I bit my lip and shook my head. "Okay, here...I will make you a deal. I will only do it if you let me check on him whenever I want to. You do not stop me from going to check on him." Matt nodded.
"Trust me, I was never going to do that. That would just make your stress worse. Listen, you just take the night to think about it and we will talk about it again tomorrow. If I see you are getting stressed about it, like you did when you saw your dad then we won't do it." I knew what he meant. "This is supposed to be a time for you to relax. So, we'll do what's best for you."
I smiled and nodded. "Thanks. Listen, let's go to bed. I am tired and it's been a long day." Matt then moved to kiss me one last time before kissing my forehead. "Night." I smiled. "Night."
