Chapter 215

Matt's POV

After walking into the house again, I made my way over to Gabby to get her to relax. This family trip we are taking is supposed to be for her to relax. She has been under enough stress and she needs to take this time right now to recover. Recover both from giving birth to Matteo and all the stress that she has been under because of her dad. And while I needed to recover form that stress though, I also knew that I was partly to blame when it comes to why she had that stress.

"Gabby, I can't say that we have both been under the same amount of stress over the past 2 months because we both know that's not true. You have basically been under stress for the past 10 months. During your pregnancy and then right up until now." Gabby looked at me and nodded. "I guess my stress goes go further back than I really realized."

I moved to wrap my arms around her and then kiss her forehead. "Listen, just promise me you'll let me take care of everything today. Just relax with Matteo and remember that everything is going to be okay. We are in this together." Gabby smiled as she looked up at me, kissing me softly. Antonio then disturbed us. "Okay, you get to do that in Florida. Breakfast is ready."

We both turned to look at him and nodded. "Sure, because we aren't going to be taking care of a 6 week old at the same time." Antonio nodded and realized that he just needed to let us be. "Okay then, so breakfast is almost ready. Have any other bags that need to go into the car?" I turned to look around and nodded. "Yes, be right back Gabby." I went to grab them when Antonio stopped me.

Grabbing them before me, he looked at me. "Go eat breakfast and let me help out. We need to leave soon and I want you to start relaxing ASAP. Please, let me do this for you." I nodded and smiled. "Thanks Antonio." I rubbed his shoulder after saying that before making my way to the counter so that me and Gabby could eat breakfast before our trip to Florida.
