Matt's POV: When I asked that question, I knew that the rest of this meeting could go one of two ways. Either it could go really good or I could get yelled at by Ramon. However, his reaction was something of a shock to me. "You are lucky I am not in a mood to yell. Plus, I am already doing life in here. So, might as well admit that yes...I did start the fire to try and kill you."

I stared at him and then sighed. "I figured it was arson. I knew it. Listen, I'll forgive you for that too so it's not on my conscious. However, I want you to know that...Gabby and Matteo were with me at the apartment that day." He stared at me, obviously not putting that into consideration when he light the fire. "Yes, you put your daughter in harms way."

He was about to say something when I stopped him. "I am not staying anymore. I want those memories stuck in your head. The sight of your daughter passed out on the ground, the idea that you almost killed your only daughter and your grandson; and the fact that you almost broke your daughter's heart by killing the love of her life. Ramon, I love Gabby and I promise to take care of her. I am going to be the dad you should've been to Gabby and Antonio...."

I just looked at him, deciding to bring up his other daughter. "...and I will be faithful to your daughter." He looked at me and nodded, knowing that he is not a better man than me. "Sorry. But, before I end this. I just want you to know, the reason me and Gabby divorced was because she had an aneurysm that could've killed her if we had kids. I always wanted kids and she felt that if she couldn't give me them....I wouldn't be happy if it was just us." He looked at me and got concerned.

"We got back together for one night when she was in town and in the heat of the moment, we got close in bed. She went back to Puerto Rico and I stayed here. I didn't know she was pregnant until I saw her in the hospital. I promise, that is the complete truth." He looked at me and nodded. "I can't be mad at you. I mean, my daughter is beautiful." I smiled. "That she is. And she is a great mother sir. I just wish you could see her. Please sir, just know she is safe with me." He nodded and smiled before letting me go. I left that room feeling much better.
