Gabby's POV
As I heard Matt say that we should host Christmas because it's Matteo's first Christmas, I had to veto that idea. There was no way in hell I was going to decorate our home, make my family's traditional recipes and also host while taking care of a 4 month old baby. "Sure, because I am going to do all the cooking when I also have to take care of a 4 month old."
Matt looked at me. "Gabby, you do realize that I can cook?" Antonio then turned to look at him. "Matt, you do not cook my family's meals. They are sacred." I chuckled when Antonio said that, knowing he loved our grandmother's stuffing. Matt then looked at me. "Oh, these are the meals you complained...I mean were sad you couldn't have on our first Christmas."
I glared at him. "You better shut that mouth of yours." He nodded and smiled before making his way to his suitcase to finally get dressed. I then moved to sit down next to Antonio as we all talked. Matt then turned to look at us as he put some shorts on. "Honestly, I don't really care what we do. I was going to go with whatever the Dawson's plan is anyways." I looked at him and then sighed, realizing why he said that.
"Me and my sister are not in a good enough place where I am comfortable spending any holidays with her. I already have our thanksgiving plans set up though." I then looked at him. "Which are what? You know, maybe you could fill your wife in." Matt just sighed and looked at me. "Like we always do...thanksgiving at the Firehouse." I nodded and smiled, remembering how much I liked that. "Then we have family over for supper. Gabby, you have to remember....we have been married before and I do still remember our traditions."
I nodded and smiled. "Okay, then we staying in Chicago between Thanksgiving and Christmas?" Matt nodded and smiled. "If that's okay with you. We'll still be on leave and I want Matteo to experience snow." I smiled again. "Good, because I am still in touch with my team from Puerto Rico." Matt then got nervous when I said that. "Gabby...I don't know how comfortable I am with the idea of bringing a 4 month old to Puerto Rico."
