Gabby's POV
As I finished in the shower that morning, I came out of the washroom in some shorts and a t-shirt when I saw that Matt was still sitting on the couch outside. He was soothing Matteo and for some reason, I thought I heard him whimper a bit. I decided to go see what was wrong. Walking out to the porch, I moved to put my hand on Matt's shoulder. "You okay baby?"
He turned to look at me and shook his head. "I'm scared. I mean...loosing our child last time broke us. What happens if Matteo's sick? What if this was a bad idea and we should've never came to Florida? He's so young." I could tell Matt was really worried and I sighed while moving to sit next to him. "Hey, just relax. He's fine. We aren't going to loose him." I grabbed Matt's hand and then rubbed it. "Just relax okay? We are staying here. We can watch him."
Matt nodded. "Sorry I am getting so worried. Seems like moms are the only ones that get this hormonal with newborns." I saw Matt let a tear out of his eye and then went to wipe it. "No, guys get hormonal too with their emotions. But, I love it. Matt, just remember that even though you are this big strong fireman...you are also allowed to be emotional. I like seeing that side because it shows you care. It shows me how much you love me and Matteo."
Matt nodded before grabbing my hand and sighing. "Maybe I am just overthinking this. Maybe he just didn't want to sleep last night or something." I nodded before going to intertwine our fingers. "Listen, I will call down to the front desk and ask them if they have a doctor here at the hotel who can come and check on him? Will that help?" Matt nodded and smiled. "I'll be right back okay?" I moved to kiss his head before walking away to call the front desk.
