Duskwood is an Android game. It is an interactive thriller about a girl named Hannah who has disappeared without a trace. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, her friends received a text message from Hannah, who at this point had been missing for more than 72 hours. The messages included one thing, and one thing only, a phone number. The phone number of the MC (player of the game) or the "main character."
With the help of the MC and the rest of Hannah's friends, along with a very special hacker, will we be able to find Hannah before it is too late? Duskwood is a small, quiet, and safe town surrounded by a big forest. People who live in Duskwood never have to worry about anybody coming and making problems, but things have changed quickly since the disappearance of Hannah. Now, it seems every corner you turn, trouble awaits.
How far will we go to find her? And just how many people will we have to risk to do so?
What about once Hannah is found, how will everyone's lives change, or will it change at all? My story is a fanfiction based on Duskwood and how MC continues her life after Hannah is found. Along with the rest of the characters, will their lives go back to normal or will trouble continue to haunt her even after the darkness is gone? While nobody expects it, trouble seems to be lurking around every corner. Stay tuned to find out how their lives play out!!!
I would like to give a special thanks to my Facebook Duskwood Fan Group for encouraging, loving, and supporting me with the other short stories I wrote in the past. With their encouragement, I have decided to make a multiple-part series, which I didn't know I was capable of. With a little motivation, inspiration, and encouraging words, anything truly is possible. I hope everyone enjoys the stories, and please feel free to comment and share.
Introduction to the Duskwood characters;
Hannah Donfort: A young girl who has gone missing without a trace. She is the one who kickstarts the plot. Known by everyone as a very happy, nice, and caring person, but she seems to have secrets deep inside, which she hides from everyone.
Lilly Donfort: Hannah's younger sister, who used to work as a receptionist at Duskwood's motel. She is the only one out of the group who wants to go to the police and thinks the group searching for Hannah is a very bad idea.
Cleo: Hannah's best friend, who loves to bake and is brutally honest about the whole situation and how she feels about Jessy not pulling her weight in the ongoing investigation.
Jessica "Jessy" Hawkins: One of Hannah's friends who works with Richy at his family's garage, taking care of the office. Jessica is into scary, dark, mysterious tales, which Duskwood seems to be known for.
Daniel "Dan" Anderson: Hannah's friend, who most people would describe as a sarcastic jerk with a good and caring heart. His major problem seems to be expressing himself, and when he finally does, it always comes out in the most sarcastic way possible.
Richy: One of Hannah's friends who is the boss and works at the family garage, which is known by everyone as the "Junkyard." He is the guy who is always smiling, being positive, and having an open mind to all situations no matter how he feels on the inside.
Thomas: Hannah's boyfriend, who she broke up with a little before her disappearance. Everyone suspects Thomas due to his strange behavior. He is too distant from the rest of the group and seems to hide things nobody knows about.
The MC (player): The person who gets tangled in the whole investigation of finding missing Hannah, who the player doesn't seem to know at all. The only reason the player is involved in the disappearance is because the MC's phone number is the last text message any of the friends received since she has been gone.
Jake "the hacker": A hacker who contacts the player stating that he has witnessed the kidnapping of Hannah. He ends up being Hannah's and Lilly's half-brother. Lilly finds out throughout the story, but Hannah has no idea that he is her half-brother. He does everything in his power to help MC find the kidnapper.
The kidnapper (MWAF): is known as the Man Without a Face for the reason that he always wears a mask and never shows his face. As far as everyone is concerned, he is the reason why Hannah is missing and the main villain of the story.
Phil: Jessica's brother and the owner of Bar Arora. He is a bad boy who is known for being a player and flirting with many women. He is interested in MC, which Jake hates since he is in love with MC even though he's having a hard time expressing that.
Alan: Duskwood police chief, whom Hannah contacted before her disappearance. He seemed to know that someone was following her but ignored it, and now that MC and Jake are involved in finding her, Alan wants to learn information from MC by contacting her without Jake knowing.
Jennifer Hanson: A young female who was killed in an accident in Duskwood 10 years ago. Her murder seems to be a mystery to this day with her killer out on the loss.
Michael Hanson: Jessica's father, who has been investigated by the police for his daughter's murder and disappearance. He claims that he last saw his daughter when she went to a festival that is held every year at Duskwood. Nobody seems to trust Michael as he has very awkward and weird behavior.
Amy Bell Lewis: A young girl who went to the same art class as Cleo and whose body has been found in the woods next to Jessica Hanson's body. Her murder is also a mystery, and nobody seems to know who killed her. She is known as a shy girl who was socially awkward and didn't make many friends.
Darkness: An individual character who is introduced to MC by Jake through a Dark Forum. Darkness is familiar with Amy through the forum and seems to know more than leading on. Jake wants MC to get information out of him.
In my story, he ends up being a guy named Silas, which didn't happen in the game. It is just extra information I added to the story.Evan Lewis: Another added character for my story who doesn't exist in the Duskwood game. He is a doctor in a city called Erstonia and the brother of Amy.
I hope this information helps clear things up and makes it easier to understand my story without having to play Duskwood. I look forward to writing the rest of the stories and getting your feedback on them. Enjoy, and have a wonderful read :)
