Missing

Once my dad, Jake and Lilli went to the park I started cleaning and preparing everything for tomorrow. I don't know why I was so nervous but super excited at the same time. I just wanted everything to go as smoothly as possible. However, if I have to be honest I was a little scared. China was far away and I hated plane rides, but it wasn't just that. I was also scared of something happening to either of them once they got here. What if the people behind me found out that they were here and they did something to them before I could get to them at the airport.

Before my mind went too far into the deep end of negative thoughts I pulled myself together. "Madisyn, calm down. Everything will be just fine. You have nothing to worry about" I kept telling myself as I was cleaning the house.

It was around five six when I finished. I didn't even pay attention to the time but when I saw what time it was, I was surprised to see that they weren't home yet. The first thing that crossed my mind was that something had happened to them. Of course I immediately called Jake. Once, twice, three times no answer. I called my dad and the same thing happened. Now, I was beginning to pace back and forth around the house waiting for my phone to ring.

Finally after what seemed like forever, my phone rang. Without even thinking about it I answered.

"Why didn't you all answer the phone when I called?"

"Hello Madisyn!"

"What the hell do you want now?"

"Eye for an eye. You hurt someone I care about, I get revenge and hurt someone you care about. How does that sound?"

"I hurt him because you asked for it. You have been making my life a living hell for years. I didn't do anything to you. What do you want from me???"

"Maybe you don't know who you really are after all or anything about your family. But, I'm going to make sure you know. You will pay for what they did..."

"Wait...what do you mean? What did my family do???"

"Goodbye Madisyn, and they didn't answer because one of them is in a lot of trouble."

Before I could even ask who, he hung up. I immediately got into the car and drove to the nearest park in hopes that they would be there. On my way to the park, his words kept repeating in my head over and over again. I couldn't get them out of my head. What did my family have to do with any of this??? There was no way! He was just bluffing trying to get me distracted and in my head about what he said while he does something else to someone I love.

As I reached the park, I tried calling Jake and my dad again but, no luck.

I got out of my car and ran around the park looking for them everywhere. People around me were all looking at me as if I had lost my mind. I was already panicking but I tried my best to remain calm and keep looking. There were many parks around here and they had to be in one of them, they just had to be. I hopped back into my car and drove to the next park, and then the next, and next...they were nowhere to be found.

By the time I got to the last park that was around that area I was already on the verge of crying and screaming for help.

I ran around looking for them everywhere.

"Ma'am, are you looking for somebody?" Asked a woman and her husband who were there at the park.

"Yeah I'm looking for my daughter. She went to the park with my boyfriend and dad and I haven't been able to reach them and I can't find them anywhere."

I reached for my phone and showed them a picture of Lilli and my dad.

"This is them, my daughter and dad. Have you seen them around here by any chance?"
