I wasn't afraid of them killing me, I mean, we all die once, right? No matter how painful or slow, death wasn't what I was scared of. I was scared of never getting the chance to live.

The thing that scared me the most about these people who were after me wasn't the fact that they were criminals. But, how was I supposed to protect myself against a person who wasn't scared to die? How was I supposed to protect myself against people who weren't scared to be sent away to jail for a lifetime? How was I supposed to protect myself from someone who had nothing to gain but also nothing to lose? These people were ready to lose it all and didn't care about anything, but... I wasn't. I wasn't ready to throw my whole life away, the life that I hadn't even had the chance to live yet.

As we approached closer to China, my anxiety levels kept rising. I could feel my knees going weak and my heart pounding faster. Not only was I nervous about what was going to happen or who would be waiting for me, but I had totally forgotten what I was supposed to say to each person. Omg, Silas was going to kill me. I knew he told me some secret codes I was supposed to tell each one of them, but I couldn't remember what they were to save my life. I mean, I mean, literally save my life.

Within an hour, we had made it to Beijing China. From there, I was supposed to get onto another plane and take off to Nanjing. Good thing that in China, nobody knew me, so I was able to normally get onto a plane, or at least that's what I thought I was doing. But again, like usual, I was wrong.

"You're coming with me. Follow me and don't make a scene. Don't ask any questions, just do as I tell you, " said Paul.

Oh my Lord!!! This was more exhausting than being chased around by a killer. Why was I still hiding here? It's not like anybody knew me here or even suspected that I was in China. However, I'm sure they had their reasons, and I had learned better than to ask questions. I just did what they said and hoped that everything ended up okay.

As I followed Paul, we made it to another airplane. He had different access points than regular passengers, and for today, I was his special guest, which included me having special access as well. Shortly after, we were on our way to entering a different airplane. I didn't even realize we were entering a plane yet, and we were already there. I guess I was too busy looking around to make sure I wasn't going to see that damn mask the man without a face wore. I was still sure that I would somehow manage to run straight into him even across the continent.

"This is my friend Bradley. He will be taking you to Nanjing. Don't worry about anything, I have explained everything to him so he will take good care of you."

"Thank you so much, Paul. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I appreciate all your help."

"Hey, we will see each other again soon. Don't worry. You have nothing to thank me for. Just stay safe and take good care of yourself."

We hugged each other, and he walked away.

"Hi...I'm Bradley. We should be in Nanjing in about two hours. Once we get there, I will walk you to the exit where someone will meet you there."

"Thank you, Bradley. I appreciate it. You all don't understand how grateful I am. I would have been screwed without you guys."

"Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view."

How lucky was I? Really. I mean, from all the horrible things that have happened to me, I have made some amazing friends and met very nice people. With all their help, I might actually be able to win this and get my life back on track and to normal.

As hard as it was for me to even imagine my life normal now, it was something I was looking forward to more than anything in this world. I was looking forward to bugging my daughter and kissing her soft little cheeks. I was looking forward to being able to take her to the park without being scared. I was looking forward to being able to sleep next to her without being woken up by my nightmares. Most importantly, I was looking forward to knowing that nobody would get hurt again.
