Wake Me Up

I woke up screaming from my nightmare and just like always, Jake somehow managed to be there. He was just entering the hotel room as I was waking up. He ran to me, jumped on the bed and grabbed me into his arms.

"It's just a nightmare. You're safe, hey I'm here. It's Jake. Babe.. it's a nightmare" he exclaimed.

I opened my eyes and when I saw Jake, I began to cry as he held me in his arms. I was so glad to see him. It took me a while to realize where I was and what was happening around me but as long as Jake was there, it didn't even matter. Suddenly...I looked around and realized that it was just Jake there in the room and Lilli was not with him. As soon as I realized, I jumped out of bed and looked around.

"Jake...where the hell is Lilly?? Where is my daughter?"

"Relax honey. She fell asleep so I felt bad waking her up. She is at Jessy and Richy's house sleeping with Sofia in her room."

"Have you lost your mind??? You left my daughter at their house?"

"Babe! It's Jessy and Richy. Everyone else left it's just them and Sofia at the house."

"I don't give a damn who is there. Why would you leave my daughter there all alone? What time is it? I'm going to get her right now."

"Madisyn, stop!!! I know you're mad right now and I know you're hurt. But these people are your friends. You know them and you know they would never do anything to Lilli."

"Jake, get out of my way."

"Haven't we made mistakes? Haven't you? Wasn't it just recently that you thought I was the one who wanted to set you on fire? The man that has been there for you every step of the way, the man you are in love with? The one you trust your daughter around and the one Lilli calls dad? Wasn't it??"

"I get what you're trying to do but I don't..."

"Answer my question and I'll let you go."

"What do you want me to say? Huh?"

"Have we made mistakes? And a lot of them? Mistakes that could have cost not only our lives but the lives of others?"

"We have..."

"Did we want for others to forgive us? To accept our apologies and give us another chance?"

"YOU WANT ME TO FORGIVE THEM? HAVE YOU SEEN THE WAY THEY ACTED WHEN THEY SAW ME? HAVE YOU HEARD WHAT HANNAH SAID TO ME?"

"Have you forgotten what you said to me, what you said to Silas and Daron?"

"God, I hate when you do this!!!"

"Babe you know I'm right. You don't have to forgive them, or even talk to them ever again. That's your decision to make. But, at the end of the day you should do it not only for them, but also for yourself. You guys have all been through so much and been there for each other, don't let things get in the way of that now."

"How do I know that they even want my forgiveness?"

"Because I know. All they talked about was how horrible they felt and the mistake they all made. They feel horrible!"

"I'll think about it. I just can't think straight right now. Why would you not tell me? Why would you hide from me that the MWAF is my brother??"

"I wanted to tell you as soon as we found out. I wanted to run to that hospital and tell you. But, I didn't want to stress you out and worry you while you were recovering. After you got out you were so sure and determined not to know who he was that I couldn't just go against that. Actually, I was glad that you didn't want to know."
