Finally, I made it to the plane, and I was waiting for it to take off. I couldn't help but feel emotional. I already felt far away from my daughter, siblings, and friends as it was, and now we would be on two different continents. As I sat in the plane, looking out the window, I felt a tear drop down my face. Quickly, I wiped it off so nobody would notice. I was so distracted with my thoughts that I didn't even notice that someone had sat down beside me.

I probably wouldn't have even noticed if it wasn't for the flight attendants coming around telling us all to make sure we have our seat belts on tight and secured. As if we were just going to fall off this plane otherwise.

I've always hated the take-off and landing the worst. The feelings of that pressure in my ears and I automatically felt like vomiting every single time. Traveling is fun, but not the whole plane ride. But, imagine if we didn't have planes and had to take a ship or something. God, that would be so much worse and scarier.

Suddenly, I was startled by a voice.

"Your first time going to Croatia?" He asked.

"Ummm no, I've been there before a couple of times. How did you..."

"Sorry. I noticed your boarding pass. I'm going there too, but it's my first time. Do you have any suggestions where I should go?"

Oh, hell!!! I had no idea what to even say. I haven't really been there before. I was about to start pulling information out of my ass because I had no clue what to say.

"I know that the beaches are amazing and these are beautiful national parks you can go visit. I usually just go to the beaches and visit family."

"Oh, where is your family from?"

Boyyyy can you stop asking me all these questions. What the hell was I thinking, saying I have been there before. He is clearly going to know that I lied.

"Hold that thought, I'll be right back. Motion sickness is definitely my biggest problem with traveling."

I got up and went to the restroom. What exactly was I thinking? I was going to open my Google and ask questions in the middle of the sky. I was just hoping that by the time I got out of this restroom, he would have forgotten the question he had asked.

I made sure to stay there for a while because if he asked me another question about this country, I would end up rattling on to myself that I lied.

"Sorry, I always get sick on planes," I said.

"It's okay. That must suck. But we have a couple of more hours, so hang in there."

"I don't really have a choice, do I?"

"No, I guess not, hehe. My name is Xander, by the way."

"I'm mad... Lana."

"Hi, mad Lana. Can I know why you're mad?"

"Heheh, because the food on these airplanes sucks and I get quite angry when I'm hungry."

"Should I move to another seat?"

"You'll be okay, don't worry."

"What's a beautiful woman like yourself doing traveling alone?" He asked.

"I guess you can say I enjoy some alone time away from everyone. What about yourself? Not that you're a beautiful woman or man, hehe."

"So you're saying I'm not good-looking? Wow, thanks for the insult, " he said with a sad face.

"Omg, no, I didn't mean it like that. I'm so sorry. I just meant that as a joke."

"So... I am handsome?"
