True Friendship Never Dies

I can't even begin to explain how great and amazing it felt holding her in my arms. Nothing else mattered. I didn't care about anything I had just been through. Just knowing that she was alive and safe in my arms made it all worth it. Evan came and hugged me so tight. He had never hugged me that hard before and he began to cry. I hugged him back while we were holding our baby girl in our arms.

"Will you please take her to the car? It's freezing outside. I need to talk to my friends. I will be right there as soon as I am done."

Evan took Lilly and they went to sit in the car. I walked up to my friends who were all standing there. As soon as I walked up to them, they all ran to me and hugged me.

"We are so glad you are out. We have been so worried for you" said Jessy.

One by one, they all hugged me and told me how scared and worried they had been.

"I can't believe he broke into your house and took Lilli. We are so glad she is alive and well" exclaimed Lilly.

"How did he even find you? I can't believe he still hasn't given up. It's been so long. I am beyond pissed right now" continued Richy.

"I promise I am going to find him and kill him with my own bare hands" shouted Dan.

"I can't thank you guys enough. I have no words to use to even begin to explain how grateful I am that you guys all flew here to be there for me. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you."

"Are you serious? You have nothing to thank us for. After everything you have done for us and have been through, this is the least we can do" said Hannah.

They all agreed with her and told me to never think for once that they wouldn't do everything for me. Just as I turned around to look back at Evan and Lilli who were sitting in the car, I saw him. I saw a man wearing a hoodie, looking at me from behind a tree. As soon as I saw him I shouted.

"IT'S HIM. HE IS HERE, I JUST SAW HIM BEHIND THE TREE."

Richy, Dan and Phil ran that way and as soon as he saw, he took off running. He was so fast I could hardly believe my eyes. In fact, so fast that it seemed like he just vanished into thin air. I stood there frozen in fear. I couldn't believe everything he had done, he still had the guts to come and stalk me right in front of the police station. Before they could even come close to him, he was gone. I wanted to invite my friends over to my house, but I couldn't even go back there. Not with my door lock broken, not when the first thing that would come into my mind was Lilli being taken out of her crib while she was peacefully sleeping. Plus, they all had a flight back to go to Duskwood.

"I am so sorry you guys had to fly here just to stay for a couple of hours. I wish I could invite you guys over, but I can't go back home. Not with what happened there tonight. But thank you all once again. Seriously!!!"

"Hey, don't thank us. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat. We will be back again soon as soon as you guys settle down and spend time together. Please take care of yourself, and leave somewhere. Don't stay here at least for a while" said Harley.

"I agree with her. You all need to get away as soon as possible" continued Richy.

"Give lots of kisses to Lilli from us and we will be back to see you guys the first chance we get. If you need anything, and I mean anything at all, call us right away and we will be here" Jessy said.

We all hugged and I said goodbye as they took off. Well, all of them left for the car except for Phil. He stayed behind and told them to wait for him in the car.

"Hi Phil. Thank you for coming."

"I am so glad you and Lilli are both okay and alive."
