He's Gone!

After collecting my strength and thoughts I walked into the hotel. When I knocked on the door I heard Lilli shouting "it's mama" from the inside. Suddenly the door opened and I saw her standing with a big smile on her face. I swear it's still unbelievable to me how much she looks like her dad. I was looking at Lilli but it's like I was looking at Evan every time she smiled. She had his smile, eyes, hair color and even the same mole on her cheek. It was impossible not to see him every time I looked at her. She was the best thing that I had left from him.

"Hi my sweet girl" I said as I kissed her.

She jumped into my arms and I walked inside where my siblings were packing things and getting ready to leave. My dad had his suitcase ready to go as well. As soon as I saw them the tears started rolling down my face. I knew this day would come but I wasn't prepared for it. I knew that my siblings had to go back to school and that they would be back again as soon as school was over but the fact that it would be months before I saw them again was making me very sad.

"Hey don't cry, we'll be back before you know it. As soon as school is over we're coming back" exclaimed Aileen.

"And I'm just going to take care of some business in China and sell the house and I'm coming back" continued my dad.

"I know guys but that's going to be months before that happens."

"It's going to pass by a lot faster than you think. Plus, don't you have a honeymoon to prepare for?" My brother asked.

"Ummm about that..."

"Wait, he's not..."

"Nope not yet. Our honeymoon is two days away and at this point, I don't think there is going to be a honeymoon."

"Have you talked to him at all?"

"I tried calling him but he didn't answer. Lilly called me earlier saying she needs to talk to me about him. So... idk I'm nervous."

"I'm sure everything will be okay. I mean it's Jake we're talking about" said my sister.

"He loves you, just give him some time" continued Liam.

"Yeah I guess you guys are right. So, are you ready to leave? You don't want to miss your flight."

"Yeah we should probably get going. The last thing we want is to be late. School is tomorrow and I have so much to catch up on."

"Hehe of course you would leave everything for last minute Aileen."

"Hey I can't help it. My sister was getting married, so I didn't have time to think about school."

"Yeah yeahhh she was getting married one day and you had months to take care of school stuff." Joked my brother.

"Hehe you guys are crazy. Come here, let's hug before I start crying again."

They both rushed into my arms and we all hugged. Okay so it didn't take long before we all started crying. When my dad joined in, it just got worse. After waiting so long to be together we finally were and now it felt like we were all going our separate ways again and that scared me. It reminded me of times when I didn't know when the next time would be that I would see them. It reminded me of the time when I thought my dad was dead and I would never get to see him again. Not to mention that it reminded me of the time I was standing in front of the MWAF begging to God to survive just to see my family one more time. Those were the hardest times of my life and I was scared that I would end up back there again. Things were already going downhill with Jake and now my family was leaving. I knew that they needed to leave but at least I had Jake to be there by my side. Now... the only person that was here with me was Lilli.
