Date Night

I think I was prepared for anything to happen that night, literally anything. I didn't know what to expect or what exactly I wanted to happen. All I knew was that I had to keep my sister safe no matter what it took. But, was it possible to save someone who didn't want to be saved? Someone who saw all the danger in front of them and still went head on into it hoping not to get burned forever.

She was my sister after all and we had many things in common. I wasn't actually any different. I saw danger right in front of me so many times and I always ignored the signs and went into the danger full force knowing I might never be able to dig myself back out.

Two things were going to happen tonight. There were only two scenarios…

One, I was absolutely wrong. The man she was meeting would be completely normal and there would be a very reasonable reason why he hadn't met up with her in person yet. They would have a great time and I would mess that date up, and my sister would hate me and never want to talk to me again. Which, if I was wrong, she would have every reason to be mad and never want to talk to me again, especially if I ended up pushing a great guy away from her.

Second, let's just say I am right. Let's just imagine that my intention was correct and he was exactly who I expected him to be. Then what?? How long would it take for us to even know that he was someone dangerous? Not like we know what he looks like to know right away if that's the man we are after. Okay so we see him acting suspicious and we are sure that my sister is in danger...how do we even stop him? Not like we could just walk up to him, I'm sure he would know exactly who we are and would run off to never be found.

All I had left to do now was trust that everything would turn out the best way possible.

As soon as we landed and I got a signal I called my brother in hopes that he had the answers I was looking for. I must have called him at least twenty times with no luck, he didn't answer. Great, just great this is all I needed. It's crazy how people usually were always the busiest and didn't hear their phones when you needed them the most.

With no help from my brother, Jake and I had to use our brains.

We had to assume that this wasn't just any regular date, it was a date where something was going to happen to my sister. That being said, if I was to try and hurt someone or kidnap them I wouldn't do it where there are many people around or early during the day. The only thing we had to go on was the location my sister had said. I looked it up and found that it was actually about an hour drive away from the airport. Fuck!!!

We had to take a taxi to the hotel and there we had a rental car waiting for us. By the time we got to the hotel it was already almost 9 pm. From the hotel to the restaurant, it was twenty minutes.

Jake and I quickly threw our stuff in the hotel room and immediately got into the car. When we sat in, Jake began to track her. According to her phone location, she was still in her dorm room which was a great sign for us.

"Your sister is still there, what do you want to do?" Jake asked.

"I don't exactly know where she is going. She could have told me the truth or she could have totally pulled the information out of her ass and lied to me. The last thing we want to do is waste our time and end up making a mistake somewhere and regretting it later on."

"You're right. If we end up going to one location in hopes she will end up there and she doesn't, we just took a risk of being too late."

"I know what we need to do. We go to the college and wait… whenever she makes a move, we follow her. That's our only way of knowing we are going to the same place she is going as well."
