It's Not All Bad

I had a deep and heartfelt conversation with my dad. Not my biological father, but my dad. I couldn't stay mad at him forever. I knew that he was only trying to do the best thing for me and that he was trying to get me to see that he wasn't getting in the way of me meeting my biological dad as well. However, even after talking to my dad and opening up to each other about everything I came to the decision that I didn't want to have anything to do with a man I knew absolutely nothing about. Maybe one day in the future I would change my mind but for now, I was set on the decision I had made and I was okay with it. Honestly, I was scared of change. I couldn't allow any more sudden and crazy changes in my life. I was going through so many things that I felt like accepting another father figure into my life at the time would have been a wrong decision for the both of us.

My parents were still together and happier than ever. Things were going great between them. If I'm going to be honest, seeing my parents take a break from one another and come back together stronger than ever after years of being separated gave me hope that Jake and I would do the same. We both agreed to get a divorce but I realized that deep down we both also wanted to be together more than anytime in the world. After watching my parents love each other the way they did right now and seeing how much happier they were than they had ever been before made me realize that being apart and coming back together where you left off was a possibility.

Let's continue with the good news, shall we?

Well as you know from before, my sister and Viktor were dating and things were going great. They were both crazy in love and had been dating for a few years. Just the other day Aileen and Viktor came to visit my parents and I when they told us the wonderful and exciting news. They were engaged and getting married!!! When I tell you that I couldn't remember the last time I was that excited for something. I was so happy for them and couldn't wait to see them get married. If anybody deserved to be together, it was Aileen and Viktor. They were so patient and waiting for the right time because they didn't want to take the attention away from everything that was happening with Jake and I. Now that things were settled down between us, it was definitely time for them to experience one of the most beautiful days of their lives. I just pray that their wedding doesn't turn out to be anything like mine.

My brother started dating a girl named Isabel about a year ago. She is beautiful!!! She is a very quiet and polite and friendly person which is very different from the girls my brother used to date. Honestly, Isabel is the only girl that I liked from all of his ex girlfriends. They were planning on moving in together at the beginning of next year now that he was finished with college and wasn't obligated to stay in one city.

As far as the rest of the group of friends, well...let's see.

Everyone was doing good and doing their own thing. Hannah was still dating that girl from before and they had moved in together into an apartment close to Lilly and Scott. Hannah now has her own photography in an art gallery which I am so excited and happy about. She truly is talented. Speaking of Lilly and Scott, they are still together and doing wonderful things. Their kids are growing up to be amazing kids. Both of them are so smart, sweet and well mannered. Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything different from Scott and Lilly. They still live in their apartment but now with an extra added dog, Tinker. I know, I thought the same thing when they told me his name, poor dog. Hehe, just kidding. He is the cutest little labradoodle. Let's just say I hated going over to their apartment because then my kids bugged me about getting them a dog for three weeks straight.

Dan and Harley opened a small personal gym in Duskwood. Can you believe it? How amazing is that? I was honestly excited to be able to get back to working out and not having to pay hehe. Okay, okay I paid...sometimes. Dan went from flirting with his nurses to now flirting with his clients. Ahhhh, some things never change.
