Birthday Surprise

We spent the next three months happy, laughing, enjoying life and each other. I hadn't talked to anybody. Not that they didn't want to, I chose not to. I was tired of going back to the same lifestyle. I was tired of being judged and always lied to. So, I just blocked all contact from everyone. The only person I talked to was Harley. She moved to Duskwood and lived close to Dan. So through her, I would find out that the rest of them were doing good. I asked about them of course, I mean after all I didn't hate them. I just didn't want to be in contact with them until we all lived our lives without one another. 

I was going to call them again one day and I was willing to forget everything and move past all the craziness. 

Evan and I are doing great. We have been happier than ever. He took some time off work and spent every minute he could with me. My life has never been better. I found out that all that crazy noise that was coming from my backyard the day my friends came to visit, was Evan building me my own patio. He had been for days. Every chance he got to be alone, he would go in the back and build it. I was wondering why he never let me go out to the back, but when I finally did. It was magical.  I was so amazed at what he made, that it sent me straight into tears. That was the kind of man Evan was. Always looking for ways to surprise me. 

Let's see, what else. Oh let me not forget the most amazing part. 

It was a Saturday evening. Evan and I went to this beautiful waterfall. It was surreal how amazing it was watching that big waterfall just come down those rocks. It was his birthday and I had a little surprise for him. He had been talking about seeing "Ivory Falls" for months now. He always said he wanted to take me there. Well, for his birthday I surprised him and drove him there. He had no idea where we were going. I was the one now that  blindfolded him. I gave him a taste of his own medicine. 

Once we got there and I took the blindfolds off he was in shock. I mean he knew it was the waterfalls way before I even took the blindfolds off, because the sound of the water crashing down on the rocks echoed throughout the whole mountain.  He was shocked at how beautiful it was.  We spent time together watching the beauty all around us. And once we got home, I had other surprises waiting for him. 

You see, one thing Evan and I also had in common was that we both loved the moon and the stars. I never had the time to even look up at the stars while I was in Duskwood because I was too busy always looking behind me. Meanwhile, in Erstonia you could even see the stars from all the city lights. But in our backyard, the stars were absolutely amazing. They didn't look real. So, for his birthday I got him something we could always watch all the stars and moon with. I got him a SkyWatcher Explorer 130M. It was one of the best telescopes out there. But — that wasn't all. I also got a great camera to record everything we saw on the telescope. Once you were done recording, you connected the camera to an LCD projector and watched the whole skygazing experience. 

Now, back to the story. Once we got home, I sent him up to our room, while I prepared everything. I set up a candlelit dinner with a bottle of champagne. I made his favorite of course. I went and got dressed into this beautiful royal blue dress with a long slit down the whole side of my leg. Royal blue was his favorite color by the way. I put on his favorite perfume and walked down to the living room where everything was set up. I dialed his phone and he answered.

"Tell me you want to see me now."

"I want you to walk your handsome self down those stairs and come see your women waiting for you."

Not even a minute later, I saw him. He had on a suit with a rose in his hand. What the hell??? Where did he even get a rose from? He walked down the stairs and the minute he laid his eyes on me, it was like watching him fall in love all over again. The house was only lit up with candles that surrounded the whole entire living room. He walked up to me, kissed me on the lips and at that moment I got lost. I got lost in those beautiful blue eyes of his.
