"A bunny rabbit."

"What? No, that is totally an orc without a head."

"Fine. What about that one? If you can't see a flower..."

"It's an axe, or a mace, I can't decide which."

"That one there, that's a puppy."

"Uhhh...yeah okay, I'll give you that one."

Dwalin groans from in front of Kili and Emilyssia. "What are two on about?"

They both grinned.

"The clouds Pa." She giggled. "We have to pass the time somehow."

"Can't you talk about normal things?"

"Aren't clouds normal?"

"I mean-" He sighs. "Is there a reason why yours are all to do with battle and his are all...cute things?"

She shrugs. "The puppy wasn't to do with battle."

Kili laughs. "Unless you make it a mighty war puppy."

"Oh? Yeah I can see that. He plans to be mighty warrior, all dressed up and ready to go but all he do is bark and wag his tail." A mischievous grin comes to her. "Kind of like you Kili."

Kili's face burns red as several others who had been listening, including Fili and Dwalin, laugh.

"I'm not a puppy." He mumbles.

Fili was laughing the loudest. "What did Ma always say when you got into trouble? 'Don't give me that puppy look Kili, you know it doesn't work on me.'"

This had more of them laughing as Kili's face burned even brighter.

Emilyssia was beaming at him. "Face it Kili, you are too cute and adorable for battle."

Kili blushes for an entirely different reason then, breaking away from her gaze.

Dwalin had frozen in front of them but neither noticed as Thorin called for them to make camp.

Once camp was set and they all had full stomachs once again, the normal night chatter started.

Kili was sitting with Fili looking agitated, his fingers drumming on his sword.

Fili glances at him. "What's wrong Ki?"

Kili starts. "Nothing." He said too quickly.

Fili raises an eyebrow and then followed Kili's gaze to where he'd been staring. Dwalin and Emilyssia sat talking to Balin.

Fili smiles. "Go talk to her."

Kili frowns. "Don't be daft."

"Kili, we've all been friends since childhood."

"Exactly. Friends."

Fili looks his brother over and notices his fingers still drumming on his sword.

He grins. "Challenge her then."

"What?"

"Well, you're obviously holding your sword for a reason."

Kili looks at his lap as if he hadn't even realised what he was doing.

"Oi, Emilyssia!"

Kili snaps his gaze up as Fili got her attention, and everyone else's in camp.

Fili beams. "Kili wants to prove his no puppy."

Kili groans as most of the camp laughs. Now he knew he had no choice.
