Joel - Cliff

A/N - Just to let you know I don't have to go to school because Boris Johnson has closed them down but I have to do remote learning at home so I can write more chapters now.

Mia's POV:

My life has started to get worse and worse. I don't know how I could cope. People have been bullying me even more and more. I can't live my life without people bullying me because I have no family left so I am now an orphan so I live in an orphanage. The people in the orphanage don't care about me and they just let me do stuff on my own. I haven't got any other family as they died when I was really young. I also don't have any friends because when they find out that I have no family the start bullying so I don't like making friends. The teachers know that students bully me but they don't do anything about it so that is why they let me do group work on my own and they let me sit on my own at the back of the class.

I have given up on my life so that is why I am standing on the edge of a cliff ready to jump off it. I couldn't take this anymore because of all of the bullying. I was getting ready to jump but then I heard a voice behind me so I turned around to find...

Joel's POV:

I was in the tower today with Hoppo and Maxi and all I saw from the corner of my eye was a faint outline of a person at the edge of a cliff. I picked up the binoculars to see if it was a person and I was right. A person was standing on the edge of a cliff and it looked like she was going to jump. I turned to Hoppo and said "Hey Hoppo, a person is standing on the edge of the cliff over there. Do you want me to check it out?"

"Yeah, can you? You will have to be quick as I think that she or he might jump." He said. So, I got up and left the tower. I decided to run there to save time as I am afraid that the person might jump. I reached the cliff within 5 minutes and when I reached it I saw that it was a girl who was about to take her life. I slowly walked up to her and when I saw that she was about to jump I said "Wait. Please don't jump. Please step away from the edge."

"I don't want to be here. Just let me jump," she cries

"Please just step away from the edge. I don't want you to die." I say whilst taking a step forward.

"Don't move any further. I will jump if you do." I say 

"Please just come here and we can talk. Just don't take your life I wouldn't forgive myself if you do as I would be the one to see it." I say whilst taking another step forward discreetly. She keeps talking but I don't listen as I am discreetly moving forward to get her away from the edge. When I within an arms reach of her. I grab her by her shirt and pull her towards me. When she is by my chest I take us both away from the cliff edge. I let her go once she calms down and I know that she won't run back to the edge of the cliff. We talk for a while and she explains that she doesn't have a family and that she wanted to jump because people have bullied her for her whole life. I offer that she can live with me so that she has someone to look after her. After I say that she says yes and jumps into my arms.
