Joel - Police

Sorry that it is out later even though it is the weekend, but it snowed in the UK which is a very rare opportunity for everyone who lives here and when it does snow, we make the most of it as we know that it won't last.

Sabrina's POV:

I was doing a patrol on the pavilion and while I was there, I was also checking the beach to see if there was a problem. As I was on patrol, I saw someone with a gun in their back pocket while looking for someone. I said into the radio that there is someone with a gun in their pocket down at the pavilion. I slowly walk up to the person to try and get him but then I heard over the radio that backup won't be here for another 5-10 minutes as some were busy investigating something. I then realised that I was next to the lifeguard tower, so I knocked on the door and when one of the lifeguards answered the door I said "I need help. Backup won't be here for another 5-10 minutes, but there is someone with a gun out here and whoever they are trying to shoot won't have 5 minutes to live." While I was saying that I was looking for the guy, but he disappeared onto the beach I think so I said to the lifeguard. "Wait. No. I think the man has gone onto the beach, so I need help now." The lifeguard nodded his head and then said into his radio that there is a ma on the beach with a gun and he is looking for someone and that we need all the help we can get." We both run out onto the sand and I take my shoes off, so it is easier to run on the sand.

We start walking along the beach to make it seem that we weren't looking for anyone but then I spot him taking the gun out as it looks like he found the person he was looking for. I start running up behind him as I was walking behind him, and I was trying to be quiet so that he doesn't hear me which he doesn't so when I get to jumping distance, I had dived at him and took him down to the floor. I could tell that he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings as I was able to get him without him knowing. So, when I took him down, I grabbed the gun out of his hands and rolled him over, so his face was in the sand. I then took out my handcuffs and while I was putting them on him, I said "You are under arrest on suspicion of murder. You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence"

As I was walking back to the car to put the guy in the back and take him to the police station, I grab the lifeguard who helped me and told him to walk with me. "Sorry that I just sprung that on you. I didn't have anyone else to help me as if I got shot then I wouldn't have anyone else to go after the guy."

"No, it's fine. That was cool though. When you jumped on him, I didn't think that you could take him down. I'm Joel by the way."

"Yeah. I'm stronger than I look as when I am not on duty, I go to the gym and that helps me to get someone to the floor. Also, I'm Sabrina. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. Do you want to come round to the tower when you aren't on duty later as it would be nice to see you later?"

"Yeah, I'll come by later. I have to go now as I have to take this guy to the station. See you later. Bye."

---Later that day---

Joel's POV:

It was around 4.30 pm when I heard knocking coming from the tower door again. I get up to answer it and when I open the door, I see Sabrina standing there with 2 trays of cupcakes with 12 cupcakes in each tray. I let her in and then she says thanks for helping her out earlier. She also says that she brought cupcakes with her for all of us to say thanks for helping her catch the guy. I radio to all of the boys and tell them that the girl who asked us to help her catch the guy brought cupcakes. We spent the rest of the day sat in the tower talking and we managed to get to know each other really well.

Thanks for reading this chapter. I only have done this chapter because I have recently watching Brooklyn 99 and I am really enjoying so I thought why not write a chapter about the police. Also, as I live in the UK, I used what the cops say when they arrest you in the UK as I don't know what they say in Australia.
