Chapter 15: Life

Skoll was finally done. He was awfully skinny now, for his power took energy out of him. "Come. Your memories will be restored on the walk home. I am Skoll, remember? I have brought you back. Time to see your family again." he said, his voice very raspy. The other wolves nodded, and the three males trotted toward the pack.

H- As the kiddos say, that is peak masculinity right there.

L- Necromancy: A Male's Past time.

Sierra was the first to spot Skoll - but only Skoll - trotting back to camp, very very skinny. "SKOLL! ARWOOOOO!" Sierra howled to her packmates. The pack came moments later, bringing food and water and healing fruits that would make him full, not skinny.

"What did you heal this time? A-a-a fox?" Sierra looked concerned as Skoll's stomach got fuller and fuller.

"No." Skoll said. He stepped aside, and you never could guess what was behind him...

R- Hold on... Three males?

Finn gasped as Skoll revealed who was behind him. It can't be... No way!

L- "I'VE NEVER SEEN A MALE BEFORE!"

Aspen, Baxter, Eskimo, Stalker, Alpine, Destiny, Raven all came bounding up to Evo and Embry when they heard the two siblings crying out. "Is it really you? It cannot be, for-!"

"Yes, dear, it is me," said a very familiar male voice. And the pups all saw who was behind Skoll.

"F-f-father?" Evo was the first to ask.

*****

"Yes! I am here! W-what happened? Did I fall asleep? Where are the Shadowpaths! Why, they want to steal our own territory, fight us, but for what reason?" Nightstare responded happily.

"Y-you... p-passed... but Skoll... he brought you back... You are really here?" asked Nightstar. She reached a paw out. Nightstare touched it. "Y-y-you're here... You are not gone,"

L- Guys.. I think he's here and not gone.

Nightstare nodded. "Nightstare... Rain... he is -"

"Gone?"

R- Nope. Here!

Finn felt like the wind knocked him over, but it was actually the surprise that jolted through his body once he saw that no wolf other than Rain was standing behind Skoll as well.

C- Only two males, god...

"Did I do it?" Rain asked as he went to help Finn get back on his paws.

"That depends," Finn replied, pure shock showing on his face.

"Did I stop the war?"

"That you did, Rain." Apollo came up and nodded politely.

"Well tell me what else happened in my 'slumber,' if you could?" Rain asked, trying to bring the spirits back up.

C- Yes, because slumber does count as simply being buried for months on end.
