Chapter 81

It was now Saturday morning. China was getting ready to leave just as his phone rang. He picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Good morning, I was told to call you"

"Oh yes, doctor"

"Is there something I can help you with?"

"Is Ivan Braginsky still alive?"

".... no.. he's dead"

"You see doctor.. I don't think he is, I think he asked you not to tell anyone and then he left without a trace!"

"Are you saying that I'm a part of some illegal scheme to fake a man's death?!"

"No, but you did help him.. didn't you?"

"I don't have to listen to this!" The doctor said angry and was about to hang up.

"Wait! I'll pay you for any information!!" China then said.

"... pay me? How much are we talking about?"

"You tell me everything you now and in exchange for that information you will get.. 10.000 dollars?"

"10.000?! Are you sure you have that much?!"

"Yes, meet me at the cafe outside the hospital"

"When?"

"Now" China said and hung up. He took a bag filled with money that he had prepeared the night before and then hurried out of the house.
Almost half an hour later arrived China at the cafe. He saw the doctor sitting at a table. He walked over to him and sat down.

"Do you have the money?" The doctor asked quietly.

"Yes. Now tell me everything"

"Allright.. the body arrived at the hospital and was sent to my lab for examination. When I was about to send him to the mourge he just woke up. I was, of course, freaked out and was going to call the police and hospital but he said he needed to get out of there and that I wasn't allowed to tell anyone"

"That's it? No threats? No bribes?"

"No, I promised and I haven't told anyone until now"

"Okay" China handed the doctor the money and then left. He went straight to England's house and knocked on the door. A couple of seconds later came England.

"China.."

"We need to go"

"Where?" England asked.

"Just come with me" China said. England went inside to get dressed while China waited outside. A few minuets later came England back outside and they began walking.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see" China said while England started to get curious. England and China walked for almost two hours until they were finally at their destination.

"What are we doing here??" England asked confused.

"I'm pretty sure Russia is here"

"But.. shouldn't he be at some place where it's hard to find him?"

"This is.. it was too obvious" China said as he walked up to the door. He knocked and almost a minuet later was the door opened.

"What now?" Ukraine asked.

"Is Russia in here?"

"No! He's dead"

"Can I come in?" China asked while England just stood behind him in confusion.

"Why?"

"Just to see if you're telling the truth"

"Are you saying I'm lying?!"

"Not necessarily"

"Can't you just leave me alone"

"Sure.. when I'm done talking to Russia" China stated.

"Okay you can check if he's here but I'm telling you that this is crazy" Ukraine said as she let China and England in. Her place was kind of small so it wouldn't be very easy to hide there. China walked over to England.

"You continue looking around, I'll be right back" China whispered to England. England nodded and China walked outside. He went to the small garden behind the house. China then saw Russia, sitting in the corner between the fence and the housewall. China felt as if his heart had stopped. He just stood there, as if he was frozen.
