With the start of December month, weather started to get colder in Delhi. Days got significantly shorter, and the cover of darkness started to spread as early as six in the evening. With nanu coming down with a seasonal flu, workload on Sameer increased quite a bit, leaving him with no time to visit Naina's house, but he didn't lessen his efforts. Whether in office, or on their daily phone calls, he continued to show the same love. Her shy smile once in a while, which she tried to hide, made his heart jump with anticipation.

One morning, as Sameer got ready to leave for office, Ramdhari came and told him nanu wanted to see him.

"Nanu, aap theek hain na? Doctor ko bulaun? Phir se fever badh kya kya?" Sameer rushed into his grandfather's room worriedly, checking his forehead and wrist.

Nanu chuckled, "Arre yaar, koi bimari nahi hui hai mujhe jo aise ghabra raha hai. Halka sa bukhar hai, theek ho jayega. Maine tujhe ek kaam ke liye bulaya hai."

Sameer breathed out in relief, "Aap call kar dete na, nanu. Aise urgent Ramdhari ko bheja toh meri jaan nikal gayi."

"Oh haan, call se yaad aaya, mera charger nahi mil raha. Dekh toh zara. Phone band pada hai." Nanu picked up the dead phone, waving at Sameer.

After checking the side table and drawers, Sameer looked under the bed, and found the charger lying there.

"Kya karta hai Ramdhari... safai karte waqt dikhta nahi hai kya usse." Muttering in anger, Sameer plugged the charger to bedside point and connected the phone.

Nanu gave a relieved smile, "Uss bichare bachhe pe gussa mat kar. Woh toh din mein do baar safai karta hai. Raat ko gumm ho gaya tha charger."

Sameer was surprised, "Aap itna kya phone use karte ho nanu ki shaam se ab tak mein battery khatam ho gayi?"

"Main videos dekhta hun... shaadiyon ke. Yaar teri shaadi karani hai na. Toh aajkal kya trending hai pata hona chahiye. Sameer, main itna excited hun teri shaadi ke liye ki lagta hai aaj hi Naina ke ghar chala jaun, aur usse bolun ki bas ab bohot ho gaya, ab mujhe meri bahu ghar mein chahiye." Nanu sat up in bed, rubbing his hands in glee at the thought.

Sameer held his shoulders, making him lie back, "Aap pehle theek ho jao. Aur Naina ke ghar jaane ke liye zara intezaar karo. Aap bhi na nanu... kitne impatient ho."

"Impatient? Abe gadhe, tu bohot slow hai. Itne time mein toh main teri nani ke saath do honeymoon mana aaya tha." Nanu winked at him.

Sameer was aghast, "Aap... nanu, aap kuch bhi bolte ho. Yeh sab chodo, kaam kya hai woh batao. Mujhe office ke liye late ho raha hai."

Seeing the blush that spread on his face, nanu rolled his eyes, "Aise hi sharmata rehta hoga Naina ke saamne. Pata nahi teri shaadi dekhna ka mera sapna kab poora hoga. Khair, abhi kaam ki baat... yeh file dekh..."

After nanu had explained to him the work that needed to be done, Sameer left for office.

While Naina was preparing the reports that Sameer had entrusted her with, a few discrepancies caught her eyes. There were some payments which had been debited from the account but still showed pending in the marketing expenses list. She checked several times, but the result was same. Either it was an error, or the agency was cheating them. Latter seemed the probable case here. She picked up her laptop and went to Sameer's room.
