Believe me it wasn't easy to find a song for today's update 🙈

Title is the song 'Be intehaa' from movie 'Race 2'

Sameer reached the top of stairs, only to find his way blocked by Preeti.

"Ahem jijaji. Bade tez bhaag rahe ho. Jaldi hai kya?" She enquired with a solemn face.

"Jaldi? Nahi toh. Main... main toh aaram se hi jaa raha hun." Sameer tried to be nonchalant.

Poora din itni thak gayi hogi isliye rest important hai you know."

"Don't worry saali sahiba. Naina ke aaram ki chinta mujhe aapse zyada hai." Sameer gave her a challenging look.

Preeti was least effected by his formidable stance, "Lekin batana mera farz hai. After all meri behen hai... ji ja ji."

The way she stressed on each syllable made Sameer smile. He raised a fisted hand in air, showing a mock punch but gave a light tap on her head, "Achha lagta hai jab tum jijaji bolti ho."

Preeti grinned, "Mujhe bhi. Naya rishta, naye rules."

He was puzzled, "Rules?"

Preeti spread her palm in front of him, "Nikalo tax... room mein jaane ka."

"Arre!" Sameer gave her an exasperated look, "Abhi neeche poori paltan ne seventy thousand ka choona lagaya hai. Tum ussi mein se share karo na."

"Sorry." Preeti raised her chin haughtily, "Mujhe share karne ki aadat nahi hai. Mere pachees hazar mujhe alag se chahiye."

"Pachees? Preeti, yeh toh extortion hai." Sameer fumed.

"Toh main nanu ko bata deti hun aaj mere jijaji unke room mein soyenge... kyonki yeh door toh paison ke bina nahi khul sakta." Preeti said with finality.

"Offo. Tum sab log itna tang karoge socha nahi tha maine. Isse achha toh shaadi se pehle tha. Jab chahe Naina ko uss ghar mein mil leta tha." Sameer muttered in frustration.

"Oh really!" Preeti exclaimed in a loud voice, "You already regret marrying her. Main abhi jaake Naina ko batati hun."

Sameer caught hold of her shoulders before she could rush back, "Uff meri maa. Ladki hai ya Narad muni... jab dekho aag lagane ko ready. You know I didn't mean this."

She suddenly started to laugh, "Shakal dekho zara apni. Arre jiaji itni tension mat lo. I was joking. Aapka room, aapki biwi... jao."

Preeti stepped aside, waving hands towards the passage. Sameer gave her a triumphant smile, "So was I. Dekha, paise bacha liye." Before she could retaliate, he steered her towards the stairs, "Jaake apne hone wale husband se paise nikalwa lena, apne share ke. Good night."

Preeti walked away, a warm smile on her face. However much she joked or teased, she was very happy for both of them. If one was a cherished childhood friend, other was as precious as a real sister to her.

With his heart beating rapidly, Sameer opened the door of their room. The fragrance hit him instantly. Not just white lilies, jasmine and roses were used abundantly to give the room a completely new look. A temporary border created over the bed was lined with roses. Bunches of lilies were placed in all corners of the frame, also on the footboard of bed. Strings of jasmine fell from the frame upto the floor. Vases placed on every surface had white lilies too. Scented candles burned along with flowers, adding to the charm of the room.
