The unit were in the district, and Cassie walked up into the bullpen.
Cassie looked around, and noticed Jay.
"Jay!" Cassie called.
Jay looked over, and smiled widely.
"Cassie!" Jay called.
Jay ran over to Cassie, and brought her into his arms.
"I've been looking everywhere for you..." Jay whispered.
Cassie buried her head in Jay's shoulder, and looked at who was behind Cassie.
"Who's this?" Jay asked.
Cassie walked over to the stairs, and picked up the crib.
"This is Ashlyn. My baby sister..." Cassie introduced.
Jay smiled, and picked Ashlyn up from the crib.
"Hi. Baby girl..." Jay cooed.
Ashlyn cried, and fussed about.
"She's hungry. I-I didn't have any bottles..." Cassie looked down.
Jay pouted, and held his hand out.
"Come here. Let's try, and find some milk bottles..." Jay suggested.
Cassie took Jay's hand, and walked with him to the breakroom.
"I'm sorry! That's adorable!" Kim awed.
The unit all agreed, and watched on.
Jay had fed Ashlyn, and was now winding her.
"She cries a lot with mommy, she's calmer when you hold her..." Cassie explained.
Jay smiled softly, and heard Ashlyn burp.
"Oh! Good girl!" Jay giggled.
Ashlyn yawned, and stretched her little arms.
"Jay? Can I stay with you?" Cassie asked.
Jay looked up, and gently patted Ashlyn's bottom.
"Umm? I don't know. Baby? Louise is coming, and she'll ask you who you feel comfortable with, just tell her the truth..." Jay explained.
Cassie nodded, and continued eating her juice.
"It's time for you to have a nap. Sweetie pie." Jay looked at Ashlyn.
Jay gently lied Ashlyn back into her crib, and Cassie sat on his lap.
"You tired too?" Jay wondered.
Cassie yawned, and cuddled into Jay's chest.
As Cassie fell asleep. Jay pushed Ashlyn's crib back and forth.
Ashlyn soon fell silent, and soft snores left her lips.
"It's alright. I got you both..." Jay soothed.
Later on. Louise arrived, and was talking to Cassie and Jay.
"So, do you like staying with your mom?" Louise asked.
Cassie looked at Jay, who nodded.
"You can tell her. Sweetie..." Jay reassured.
Cassie nodded, and looked at Louise.
"No. She horrible to me. Makes Ashlyn cry..." Cassie responded.
Louise nodded, and wrote what Cassie said in her notepad.
"Okay. Who would you wanna live with?" Louise wondered.
Cassie looked down, and back up.
"J-Jay! He'll look after me!" Cassie nodded.
Louise looked at Jay, who nodded.
"Yep! I'll be giving full-time care to Cassie and Ashlyn." Jay promised.
Louise sighed, and looked at Jay.
"You work a full-time job, and balancing two young kids, who have been moved from home to home. Will you be able to provide full-time care towards Cassie and Ashlyn?" Louise crossed her arms.
Jay sighed, and looked at Louise.
"I'm gonna do whatever it takes..." Jay nodded.
Louise filed her papers, and stood up.
"Okay! I'll be in touch..." Louise replied.
Jay nodded, and said his goodbyes.
After Louise left. Cassie looked at Jay.
"Jay? What's happening now?" Cassie asked.
Jay sighed, and rubbed Ashlyn's small tummy.
"I don't know. Sweetheart? I don't know..." Jay shook his head.
Later on. The unit and Jay were at the children's centre.
Ashlyn had settled in Jay's arms. As Jay swayed her gently.
"We've set up a room for Cassie..." Louise smiled.
Jay nodded, and crouched down.
"Okay! Your gonna go with Louise now, and you'll settle into your new bedroom, and have a good sleep, and Louise will drop you at the district in the morning." Jay explained.
Cassie nodded, and wrapped her arms around Jay's neck.
"I love woo..." Cassie babbled.
Jay sniffled, and wiped his eyes.
"I love you too. Baby girls..." Jay smiled.
Cassie took Louise's hand, and walked off.
As Cassie and Ashlyn got taken away. Jay let out a sob.
Hank held Jay close, and rubbed his shoulders.
"Their gonna get looked after. Kiddo! I promise..." Hank promised.
Jay crossed arms, and sniffled.
"Come on. Let's go home..." Erin suggested.
The unit all patted Jay's back, and walked out.
Erin and Jay soon arrived at the apartment, and Erin was asleep, next to Jay.
