It was the next day after Sara's death, and Jay was coming to terms with the death in his own way.

Erin was making breakfast for Cassie and Ashlyn. While Jay was asleep in his room.

"Mom...?" Cassie called.

Erin was deep in thought, as she thought about last night's events. Shushing, rocking, cuddling, was the only thing Jay needed to have some sleep, and Erin was in pieces, as she listened to her husband sob in her arms. It was emotional.

"Sorry! I was thinking bout da-." Erin got cut off.

"Daddy?" Cassie guessed.

Erin smiled, and nodded.

"Go get dressed. Hon..." Erin smiled softly.

Cassie nodded, and walked upstairs.

After Cassie was out of sight. Erin washed the dishes.

Erin heard some footsteps, and noticed it was Jay.

"Hey! I was just gonna check on you..." Erin whispered.

Jay smiled, and kissed Erin's earlobe.

"Do you want some breakfast...? There's some Mango Yogurt in the fridge..." Erin replied.

Jay shook his head head, and sat on the stool.

"Nah..." Jay shook his head.

"Babe...? You need to eat..." Erin reminded.

Jay groaned, and got up.

"I'm getting dressed for the funeral..." Jay decided.

Erin sighed, and put the yogurt back.

After Awhile. Sara's funeral was more than peaceful. Abby and Pat Halstead turned up, and demanded that Will and Jay leave the ceremony.

Jay wasn't gonna argue with his dad, he was exhausted.

"You know what? I'll go! Is that what you want. Dad? Huh?" Jay asked.

Pat stayed silent, and Jay walked back to his truck.

After Jay got into his truck. He punched the steering wheel.

Jay sobbed, and continued punching the steering wheel.

After a few minutes. Jay walked back into the apartment.

Erin hadn't heard from Jay all day, and she was beginning to get worried, until she saw him walk through the door.

Jay had taken his blazer off, his tie was hanging around his neck, and he looked a total mess.

"Baby...!" Erin gasped.

Erin walked over, and held Jay in her arms.

"H-Hi..." Jay mumbled.

Erin felt Jay's trembling body on hers, as she rubbed his back in circles.

"Come on... let's go to bed..." Erin suggested.

Erin grabbed Jay's hand, and walked him upstairs.

After Erin and Jay got to the bedroom. Erin had undressed Jay, and placed his clothes in the wash.

Jay got under the covers, and Erin pulled him into her chest.

"What happened at the funeral. Babe...?" Erin asked.

Jay sighed, and responded.

"It was a total fuckup. there was no point of me even going... Dad was throwing insults at me. Mom was drunk off her ass..." Jay spat.

Erin pouted, and kissed Jay's head softly.

"It's alright. Baby. I got you..." Erin soothed.

Erin and Jay soon fell asleep, cuddled into each other.
