It was Jay's birthday, and his best friend from the Army, Michael, was in the locker room with Erin, signing Jay's card.

After signing, Michael took the pen and card back and posed a question to Erin.

"So, can I borrow your car?" Michael asked.

Erin nodded with a smile.

"Sure! Just make sure to park it in the correct spot when you return it, or Jay will think it's been stolen," Erin instructed.

Michael chuckled and nodded.

"I'll try to remember that!" he said, still chuckling.

"Remember what?" a voice whispered.

Erin and Michael turned to see Jay at the door.

"That you and I have a date night planned!" Erin fibbed.

Jay crossed his arms and smirked.

"I'll leave you to it then! I'll reserve that table," Michael said, playing along.

"Hi, Jay!" greeted Michael.

"Hey, man!" Jay responded with a smile.

Michael exited the locker room, leaving Erin and Jay alone.

"What's up?" Erin inquired.

Jay gave a sly look and responded.

"Don't tell me you're planning a surprise party for me..." he said, shaking his head.

Erin shook her head, feigning innocence.

"Of course not!" she lied.

Jay nodded, half-convinced.

"Well, you might want to sleep with one eye open..." he teased.

Erin nodded, and with that, Jay left the locker room.

Michael grasped the cake and made his way back to the truck.

He balanced the cake in one hand and unlocked the car.

"Hello..." someone whispered.

As Michael turned around, he was struck and lost consciousness.

"That was a quick nap..." the voice mumbled.

The stranger placed Michael in the backseat and shut the door with force.

The figure moved to the driver's side and settled in.

Turning on the engine, they glanced in the rearview mirror.

Yates, the abductor, wore a self-satisfied smirk.

"Time for an adventure!" Yates exclaimed, pulling out of the parking lot and merging onto the main road.

In the bullpen, Erin, Jay, and Voight arrived and walked towards their desks.

"Alright, Michael, triangulate Mouse's last location..." Hank began.

Hank was confused when he received no response from the new technology advisor.

"Where's Michael?" Hank inquired.

Erin sighed, her worry growing.

"Erin, you were the last with him. Where was he headed?" Jay questioned.

Erin sighed, not wanting to reveal too much.

"He went to pick up your birthday cake," Erin confessed.

Jay lifted the receiver of his desk phone and dialed Michael's number.

"Just voicemail," Jay murmured.
