Jay was heading towards the district when he spotted a car careening out of control on the sidewalks, hitting pedestrians.

While observing the chaos, another vehicle collided with his truck, resulting in a crash that damaged both his and the other driver's car.

Jay was unconscious, the horn was continuously beeping, and people were calling for ambulances and the fire service.

In the squad room of Firehouse 51, Hermann was rallying everyone to pitch in at Molly's.

"Hermann? Don't most of the guys already help out at Molly's?" Matt interjected.

Hermann nodded, about to respond.

"Yes! But—" He halted mid-sentence.

"Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, report to a multicar collision at 24th and Wabash," the speaker blared.

Instantly, everyone sprang into action, and Hermann took charge.

"Let's regroup after the call!" Hermann shouted.

Following his lead, the team hurried outside and boarded their respective vehicles.

As they gathered at the district, the urgent call came through.

"Attention all units in the 21st, citywide alert: multicar collision at 24th and Wabash," dispatch announced.

Without hesitation, the team bolted downstairs.

Arriving swiftly at the crash site, 51 assessed the chaos.

"Cruz, clear the area! Capp, Tony, start cribbing!" commanded Kelly.

Acknowledging the order, the men dispersed to execute their duties.

Peering into Jay's truck, Matt discovered him unresponsive.

"It's Detective Halstead!" He yelled.

Kelly dashed over, reaching in to check for Jay's pulse.

"No pulse. We need to extract him, now!" Kelly directed urgently.

The intelligence unit arrived, with Hank stepping out first.

"What's the situation?" Hank inquired.

Boden exhaled deeply before glancing at Erin.

"It involves Halstead..." Boden began.

Erin felt a sinking feeling in her gut.

"Which one?" pressed Antonio.

Boden looked away, his breath heavy.

"Jay..." he disclosed.

Erin attempted to dash forward but was halted by patrol.

"I need to get through!" Erin insisted.

Anna shook her head, gripping her firmly.

"She needs to pass! Her husband's involved in that accident!" Hank commanded.

At Hank's order, Anna released Erin, who sprinted towards the team.

"Where is he?" Erin demanded.

The team surveyed the wreckage, and Antonio spotted Jay's vehicle.

"There—Jay's truck!" Antonio indicated.

Rushing to the site, Erin saw Brett stabilizing Jay's head against the car seat.

"What's the status?" Erin queried.

Approaching, Kelly let out a sigh.

"He hasn't got a pulse. Brett's securing his head for extraction," Kelly explained.
