Trigger Warning: Drug Misuse, Blood. Gruesome scenes.

The team was at Erin and Jay's apartment when there was a loud knock on the door.

Jay answered it to find Barry standing there—Jay's drug dealer.

"What do you want?" Jay inquired.

Barry seized Jay's hand and ushered him inside.

"Whoa! What is it you want? Drugs? Money?" Jay probed.

The unit started to rise, but Barry bellowed at them.

"STAY SEATED!" Barry commanded.

The unit complied, and the girls snuggled against Erin.

Barry spun Jay to face him and pressed the gun against his temple.

"Barry, we need to draw our weapons now..." Hank cautioned.

Barry gave Hank a puzzled look.

"Why? I'm the one holding the gun!" Barry retorted.

Hank nodded, remaining composed.

"You've captured one of my men. Release him, and you're free to go," Hank offered.

Barry shook his head, gripping Jay more firmly.

"Barry, think of his children. A sixteen-year-old and a toddler. They shouldn't witness this..." Hank implored, shaking his head.

Barry murmured to Jay.

"He should have considered that before he came to me for drugs..." Barry hissed.

Jay's pulse soared as he glanced at his daughters.

"It's okay..." Jay signaled silently.

Cassie and Ashlyn acknowledged with a nod, and Barry declared.

"You were not given permission to speak," Barry snapped.

Jay muttered an apology, his gaze falling to the ground.

"Girls, do you know what your dad does?" Barry inquired.

Cassie looked up, nodding with a tremble.

"F-Fights' for t-the w-world?" she whispered.

Barry smirked, leaning in to whisper.

"Close. Your father is a drug dealer... He used to sell drugs to people," Barry disclosed.

The unit was aware of the truth, but they also knew Jay had left that life behind.

Barry laughed, divulging further details.

"He also had multiple overdoses. He was in Med for what, five or six months, wasn't it, Jay?" Barry inquired.

Jay was silent, shaking on the inside.

"Answer me!" demanded Barry.

"Yes! Yes!" Jay burst out.

Barry's smile widened as he disclosed more details.

"Exactly! He was in the psych ward for months, and it was me who he was discharged to..." Barry's grin lingered.

Erin observed Jay's trembling hands and his pallid face.

"Barry, do the right thing and release my detective. He doesn't deserve this..." Hank pleaded.

Barry took the gun away from Jay's temple and grabbed Jay in a chokehold position.

"We're heading upstairs! Nobody follow us, or your beloved detective gets it!" Barry threatened.

The unit aimed their guns at Barry while he escorted Jay upstairs.
