The entire unit was present at Danny and Gail's funeral. Ally was perusing photos of Gail and Danny.

Jay caught sight of his ex-wife and glanced at his team.

"Give me a sec," Jay said with a nod.

The team acknowledged with nods, and Jay approached Ally.

He enveloped Ally in an embrace, holding her tightly.

"Who's that?" inquired Adam.

Erin exhaled and replied.

"That's Ally Carson, Jay's ex-wife. They planned to move to California together, but Jay had second thoughts," Erin shared.

The team acknowledged with nods and adjusted their suits.

"So, are you seeing anyone?" Ally inquired.

Jay responded with a smile and a nod.

"I'm married to Erin now. We have three kids," Jay beamed.

Ally returned the smile and nodded.

"And you?" Jay inquired.

Ally shook her head and let out a sigh.

"Nothing serious?" she murmured.

Jay nodded in understanding as the team entered.

"Why don't you join us?" Jay suggested.

Ally glanced over and noticed the team's unwelcoming stares.

"I don't think I'd be welcome there," Ally murmured.

Jay looked back at his team with a stern gaze.

"They're just jealous," Jay reassured her.

Ally shook her head with a smile.

"Go be with your family. I'll manage here," Ally encouraged with a smile.

"Are you sure?" Jay asked.

Ally nodded affirmatively with a smile.

"Alright. It was good to see you," Jay said warmly.

Ally returned the smile and bid farewell.

Jay rejoined the team and addressed them.

"Do you have to be so harsh? She's grieving her parents... There's no need for hostility," Jay admonished.

The team offered their apologies and looked away, chastened.

Jay looked to the front as the priest began the opening speech.

"We are gathered here today to mourn the passing of Gail-Jennifer-Carson and Daniel-Alex-Carson. They played many roles: a mother, a father, a son, a daughter, a sister, a brother, a husband, a wife," the priest announced.

Jay and Ally exchanged smiles.

"Let us take a moment to remember Gail and Daniel Carson," the priest invited.

All closed their eyes, and Erin tightly held Jay's hand.

Feeling Erin's grip, Jay smiled.

The priest then beckoned Jay to the podium.

"Please welcome Jay to the podium to share a few words," the priest said with a smile.

Jay rose and approached the podium.

"Okay, I'll try to keep it together..." Jay said with a nervous chuckle.

The team gave a soft laugh and paid attention.
