The night had fallen, and the streets of Chicago were alive with people bustling around the markets and stalls.
Jay's gaze shifted between the ornaments and Erin.
"Babe! Hey, look at this!" Jay exclaimed.
Erin chuckled and agreed with a nod.
"Hank dressed up as Santa Claus?" she said, amusement in her voice.
Jay responded with a nod, sharing in the laughter.
While wandering around, they spotted Gloria.
"Grandma!" Jay greeted with a smile.
Gloria returned the smile and embraced her grandson warmly.
In the midst of their conversation, a sudden rumble startled everyone.
"What the hell was that?" Erin wondered aloud.
Jay could only offer a shrug in response when suddenly, a train derailed with a thunderous crash.
"AHHH!" Gloria let out a terrified scream.
Panic ensued as everyone ducked for cover.
Erin hit her head against the pole, and Gloria fell beneath the train.
"ERIN!" Hank yelled.
The team rose and hurried over.
"Are you okay?" Adam inquired.
The young girl nodded, shaking.
"Alright, go with these nice ladies, and they'll take care of you, kiddo," Adam said, nodding.
The girl nodded again and walked over.
Gloria coughed, feeling her leg trapped.
"HELP! SOMEONE HELP ME!" Gloria screamed.
Jay heard his grandmother's voice and attempted to run towards her.
"No, I can't let you through!" Anna insisted, shaking her head.
Jay exhaled and protested.
"My grandma's in there!" Jay declared.
Anna shook her head again and was called away.
Jay glanced over and ducked under the tape.
"HALSTEAD!" Hank bellowed.
Erin called out Jay's name and clutched her children.
"NO! DAD!" Cassie shouted.
Jay crawled under the train and saw Gloria.
"Nana!" Jay murmured.
Gloria smiled weakly.
"Are you injured?" Jay questioned.
Gloria nodded with a grimace.
"My ankle's caught under the wheel..." Gloria groaned.
Jay nodded and attempted to free his grandmother's ankle.
"Damn, it's wedged in tight..." Jay muttered.
Looking around, Jay spotted Gabby.
"GABBY!" Jay yelled.
Gabby, hearing the call, summoned Shay and hurried over.
"Jay? What's happening?" Gabby asked.
Jay sniffled and explained.
"It's Gloria. Her ankle's pinned under the wheel," Jay said.
Gabby nodded and turned to Shay.
"Bring a stretcher, a backboard, and a neck brace. Hurry!" Gabby commanded.
