Chapter 37

The unit were on a stakeout, and Kim was in her truck alone.

Kim looked outside the window, and saw no one.

"This is Burgess. I have no sign of Roy." Kim radioed.

Kim put her radio down, and finished drinking her coffee.

"Excuse me? Officer?" Kent asked.

Kim was helpful, and she'd go anywhere, where she saw possible danger, but this time. It was her who was in danger.

"Ye-." Kim started.

Kent grabbed Kim's head, and bashed it against the dashboard.

After Kim was out. Kent opened the door, and pulled Kim's unconscious body out.

Kent stepped on Kim's stomach, and she jolted.

"You never should've followed my brother..." Kent whispered.

Kent dragged Kim towards the truck by her feet, and she regained consciousness.

"No! NO! GET OFF!" Kim shouted.

Kim clawed at the concrete, and tried reaching for her radio.

As Kim grabbed her radio. Kent banged her head down on the ground.

Kim fell back unconscious, and was limp in Kent's hold.

After a few minutes. Kent had stripped Kim to her clothes, and managed to drag her into the truck.

Kent slammed the door shut, and drove off into the distance.

Adam hadn't heard from Kim in awhile, and he was worried.

"Boss? I'm gonna go find Kim." Adam radioed.

Hank pulled his radio up, and radioed back.

"No. Roy could be anywhere, we can't risk you getting hurt. Stay down." Hank ordered.

Adam knew something was wrong, his wife wouldn't just go dark.

"You know I can't do that..." Adam reported back.

Hank sighed, and allowed Adam to go.

"Radio if you find Burgess..." Hank instructed.

Adam got out of the truck, and walked towards Kim's last location.

Soon. Adam arrived at Kim's location, and noticed her truck.

Adam pulled his gun and torch out, and called Kim's name.

"Kim?" Adam whispered.

Adam searched further, and noticed blood.

"Kim? Where are you? Kim?!" Adam called.

Adam looked at the curb, and noticed more blood.

"Dispatch. This is Detective Adam Ruzek. I need patrol cars to my current location. I got a Detective missing. Detective Kim Burgess is missing. I repeat my partner is missing. Detective Kim Burgess. My partner is missing." Adam reported.

Adam looked around the area, and Hank's voice came through the radio.

"Adam? We heard your call. What's going on?" Hank asked.

Adam pulled his radio up, and replied.

"Boss. Burgess's car is here, she is not. I got blood everywhere. I need the team here now!" Adam ordered.

"We're on our way!" Hank radioed.

Adam sighed, and canvassed the area.

"Dammit..." Adam cursed.
