Erin entered the bullpen and immediately realized Jay was absent from his desk.

"Where's Jay?" she inquired.

Kim glanced up and gave a nonchalant shrug.

"He didn't come upstairs..." she said, shaking her head.

With a sigh, Erin proceeded to her desk.

Erin retrieved her cell phone from her bag and called Jay.

This is Halstead. Leave a message

Erin set her phone aside and massaged her temples.

"Either he's avoiding my calls, or his phone is dead," Erin exhaled wearily.

Adam glanced at the top of the stairs and saw Jay, who appeared to be drunk.

"Speak of the devil..." Adam muttered under his breath.

Erin's gaze followed and she hurried over.

"Babe? Why aren't you answering your calls?" Erin inquired.

Jay's words were slurred as Abby ascended the stairs.

"Abby?" Erin gasped in surprise.

Abby nodded and grasped Jay's hand.

"Come with me, baby. Let's go home..." Abby said with a smirk.

In his inebriated state, Jay mistook Abby for Erin and followed her.

"Whoa! Whoa! You're not taking my husband anywhere!" Erin protested.

Abby clung to Jay's hand, and Erin did the same.

"WATCH ME!" Abby challenged with a smirk.

Erin and Abby each pulled on one of Jay's arms, and Antonio stood up.

"Guys! Guys! Jay's not a rubber band! Let him go!" Antonio commanded.

Abby removed her hand and saw that Erin hadn't done the same.

"He's talking to you too, Princess..." Abby said with a smirk.

Erin understood that Antonio's words were meant only for Abby.

"Let me correct you! I was speaking solely to you. Erin is Jay's wife, and Jay is Erin's husband. You mean nothing to Jay now. I suggest you leave this district before I bring Voight into this," Antonio warned.

Abby let out a deep breath and made her way down the stairs.

"I'll be back for you, baby!" Abby called out.

Erin cradled Jay's head against her chest, her eyes following Abby's departure.

"Come on, babe. Let's find you some fresh clothes..." Erin said with a smile.

Jay rose to his feet, grasped Erin's hand, and together they headed to the locker room.

The team resumed their paperwork, awaiting Erin and Jay's return.

Erin was helping Jay out of his soiled shirt and into a fresh flannel one.

"What happened, baby?" Erin inquired.

Jay sighed, his gaze falling.

"I-I needed to escape Chicago. Abby spotted me at Molly's. I intended to have just one beer, but Abby must've gotten me drunk or drugged me," Jay recounted.

Erin nodded, softly cleansing Jay's face with a cool washcloth.

"It's okay, I'm here now," Erin said soothingly.

Jay rested his head on Erin's shoulder and let out a sigh.

"Take a short nap in the breakroom. I'll cover for you," Erin whispered softly.

Jay nodded and walked out of the locker room alongside Erin.

Shortly thereafter, Erin shut the breakroom door and made her way back to her desk.

"Where's Jay?" Hank inquired.

Erin glanced up and fabricated a story.

"He's not feeling well. I sent him to rest in the breakroom," Erin stated, which was not entirely untrue.

Hank nodded, accepted the lie, and walked into his office.

After Awhile. Erin and Jay got back to the apartment and walked inside.
