The entire unit was gathered in the bullpen. Erin entered the area, appearing to be in a state of panic.

"Hi Erin—Woah, what's going on?" Kim wondered.

Erin approached her desk and took a seat.

"I can't find Jay! He's not responding to my calls or messages. It's like he's gone..." Erin shared.

Hank emerged from his office and leaned against the wall.

"Have you tracked his phone?" Hank inquired.

Erin gave a nod and let out a sigh.

"Yes, twice. It's been turned off..." Erin responded.

Hank gave a nod of understanding.

"Then go find him! And keep your radio on," Hank commanded.

Erin acknowledged with a nod and rose from her desk chair.

Once Erin departed, she climbed into her truck and set out to search for Jay.

Cruising through the streets of Chicago, Erin spotted Jay outside Lonnie's residence.

"5021 Lincoln," Erin initiated.

"Proceed, 5021 Lincoln," Dispatch responded.

"I'm on a personal at 1900 South Wells," Erin communicated over the radio.

"Understood, 5021 Lincoln," Dispatch confirmed.

Erin stowed her radio and advanced towards Jay.

"LEAVE THIS PLACE NOW!" John demanded.

Jay attempted to push his way inside but ended up being pushed against Erin.

"Alright, do I need to arrest you for assaulting an officer?" Erin demanded.

John remained silent, his gaze fixed on the ground.

"He forced his way into my home!" John protested loudly.

"Your lucky I didn't kick your head in!" Jay made a lunge at John, but Erin intervened, holding him back.

Erin pushed Jay away from John and commanded, "Alright, Detective Halstead, take five."

"What? He started it!" Jay protested vehemently.

"And I'm ending it! Now, go wait in the truck!" Erin commanded.

Jay sighed and walked towards the truck.

"Now, don't speak to Detective Halstead. He's already under a restraining order from this place. Avoid making matters worse by provoking him," Erin explained.

John slammed the door in Erin's face and Erin nodded.

"IF YOU DON'T DO THAT! I'LL GET A COUPLE OF UNIFORMS AND PUT THE CUFFS ON YOU! HAVE A GOOD DAY!" Erin shouted.

Erin walked towards her truck and got into the driver's side.

"5021 Lincoln." Erin pulled up her radio.

Jay looked at Erin and tried to speak.

"What are you do-." Jay started.

Erin shushed Jay and responded.

"Could you dispatch a couple of officers to my current location? The individual here has violated his restraining order against a Chicago Police Officer," Erin falsely claimed.

"Copy that! Sending Patrol Now," Dispatch responded.

Erin set her radio down and noticed Jay's gaze fixed on her.

"What?" she inquired.

"I'm the one who violated the restraining order..." Jay confessed.

Erin nodded with a smirk.

"Yeah, I saved you from a scolding by the Commander. You owe me a drink," she declared.

Jay returned the smirk with a nod of agreement.

"That's why I married you," Jay said with a smirk.

Erin stepped out of the truck upon spotting the patrol officers.

"Please put your hands behind your back," Anna commanded.

John turned to Erin and Jay, yelling furiously.

"YOU LIARS! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" John bellowed.

Erin folded her arms and grinned.

"Cross my partner, and you face the consequences," Erin declared with a smile.

John was placed into the patrol car, but not before he made a declaration.

"I'M GONNA GET YOU HALSTEAD! I PROMISE!" John yelled.

Erin grasped Jay's hand and gently caressed it.

"Add threatening an officer to the charges," Erin commanded.

Anna acknowledged with a nod and climbed into the driver's seat.

Once the patrol car had departed, Erin and Jay entered their truck.

Erin started the engine and shifted gears.

In the district, Erin and Jay ascended the stairs.

"The Wanderer returns!" exclaimed Adam with a smile.

Jay returned the smiles and settled at his desk.

"We cool?" inquired Erin.

Jay nodded and they shared a kiss.

"Cool," Jay responded with a grin.

Erin leaned over and playfully snatched a pen.

After some time, Erin and Jay settled on the couch in their apartment.

Jay took a phone call and was stunned by the news.

"Alright, I'll be there tomorrow," Jay said firmly.

Once the call ended, Jay faced Erin.

"IAD wants me for tomorrow. They discovered John's body in Humboldt Park," Jay revealed.

Erin inhaled sharply and soothed Jay's shoulder.

"They suspect I'm the one who killed him," Jay murmured.
