It was the next day, after Jay had been kidnapped, and he was getting checked out by the doctor.

Jay had his shirt off, as the doctor pulled his arm out, and made sure nothing was out of the ordinary.

"Does this feel uncomfortable...?" Young asked.

Jay still felt pain, but he managed to put up a front, and was able to make a sarcastic comment.

"Doc? Your making me feel uncomfortable..." Jay commented sarcastically.

Dr Young laughed softly, and looked at Jay's notes.

"You've been through the wringer. Several Burns. Facial surgery, broken ribs, five broken fingers..." Dr Young read out.

Jay got uncomfortable, and put his shirt back on.

"I can't sign you off for field duty, until I know that your no longer in pain..." Dr Young explained.

Jay sighed, he knew that was the case.

"Anything else?" Jay asked.

Dr Young thought, and nodded.

"Yes! I think it's best if you see a psychiatrist..." Dr Young suggested.

Jay got up, and put his coat on.

"I'm doing fine! I don't need any one digging into my business..." Jay shook his head.

Jay opened the door exam room door, and left.

"Hey! How'd it go?!" Erin asked.

Jay sighed, and looked at Erin.

"Dr Young doesn't want me to be on field duty, until I'm no longer in pain..." Jay sighed.

Erin rubbed Jay's back, and Ashlyn looked up.

"Uppies! Dada! Uppies!" Ashlyn babbled.

Jay smiled, and lifted Ashlyn into his arms.

"Let's go back home..." Erin suggested.

Jay nodded, and tickled Ashlyn's little tummy.

After a few minutes. Erin was driving home, while Jay slept in the front.

"Mom? Do you think. Daddy will be able to help me with some fractions?" Cassie wondered.

Erin noticed Jay tensing his fist, she knew he was in pain.

"Maybe later, baby. Let daddy sleep for a bit..." Erin nodded.

Cassie nodded, and continued playing with Ashlyn.

Later on. Jay had a nap for about three hours, and he was helping Cassie with her homework.

"Does this equal a half?" Cassie wondered.

Jay was in agony, but he didn't wanna upset his daughter.

"How many pieces are shaded in the pie, baby?" Jay asked.

Cassie counted the parts slowly, and gave an answer.

"1?" Cassie stated.

"Okay, and how many are there all together?" Jay wondered.

Cassie counted two, and nodded.

"Two?" Cassie asked.

Jay smiled, and nodded.

"Correct! So, the answer is a...?" Jay trailed.

"A Half?" Cassie answered.

Jay nodded, and confirmed.

"Yep!" Jay smiled.

Cassie put the answer down, and moved onto the next question.

"Give me a minute..." Jay whispered.
