Jay was preparing to leave the hospital, now that his cancer had been successfully treated.

The door swung open, and there was Will, wheeling in a wheelchair like he'd just won a prize.

Jay glanced up and let out a long, dramatic sigh.

"Brain cancer, yes, but my legs are still on team 'feeling fine'," Jay retorted.

Will just shook his head, securing the wheelchair.

"Hospital policy" Will declared.

Jay let out another sigh, more resigned this time, as he zipped up his case.

"Seriously, you were one foot in the grave. How about we skip that dance with death next time, alright?" Will remarked.

Jay was seated in the wheelchair, and Will pushed it out.

Outside, the team was all in the truck, and Hank was assisting Jay into the back.

Jay buckled himself into the seat and leaned on Erin's shoulder.

"Nice to see you not at death's door for once..." Antonio chimed in.

Jay chuckled quietly and gave a nod.

In the midst of their journey, Jay started to shake uncontrollably.

Catching sight of Jay's distress, Erin's concern was immediate.

"Oh no!" She whispered urgently.

Turning swiftly to Hank, she shouted with authority.

"Pull over now!"

Without hesitation, Hank steered the car to the curb and turned off the ignition.

"Don't worry, love..." Erin comforted Jay.

Jay's words were a weak stutter.

"Shh, it's alright, take it easy..." Erin soothed him with a gentle tone.

She leaned over, releasing Jay's seatbelt, and reclined his seat.

"Will he be alright?" Adam asked, concern lacing his voice.

With a reassuring nod, Erin positioned Jay on his side.

"Just a small seizure, he'll come back shortly," she assured them.

The group watched silently, offering their silent support.

Gradually, Jay's convulsions ceased, and his eyes fluttered open.

"Darling, can you hear me?" Erin's voice was soft but filled with hope.

Jay's gaze wandered before he let out a soft cry.

"Oh, baby..." Erin's voice was a soothing balm.

She drew Jay close, cradling him against her, and gave Hank a nod.

"Go ahead, we're okay," she murmured.

Acknowledging her cue, Hank merged back onto the road.

Jay gave his weary eyes a rub and snuggled deeper into Erin's embrace.

"There you go, drift off..." Erin whispered comfortingly.

Jay looped his arms around Erin's middle and surrendered to sleep.

After several hours, Jay was comfortably settled in bed, fast asleep with his head resting in Erin's lap and his arm in her hand, which she was gently stroking.

Hank entered the room with Ashlyn, who jumped onto the bed.

"Daddy!" Ashlyn exclaimed.

Hank carefully shushed her and whispered, "Shush. Daddy's asleep..."

Ashlyn apologized, and Jay stirred awake.

"Daddy?" Ashlyn babbled.

Jay looked up and spoke to Erin, "Alright. That's fine," Erin whispered back.

Jay closed his eyes and returned to his slumber.

"He's going to sleep for a few more hours. He feels a seizure coming on," Erin explained.

Hank nodded, lifted Ashlyn from the bed, and said, "Let's see what Auntie Kim's making!" with a smile.

Ashlyn dashed out of the bedroom, and Hank followed suit.

Once Hank and Ashlyn had left, Erin also fell asleep.
