Erin was awake, scrolling through her phone, while Jay slept on her lap.

The door swung open, revealing Ashlyn. "Mama?" Ashlyn babbled, placing her tiny hands on the bed's edge.

Erin smiled at her. "What's up, baby?" she inquired.

Ashlyn rubbed her belly and whimpered.

"Daddy's still sleeping, and I need to prepare him for breakfast. Have a banana for a snack, honey," Erin suggested.

Ashlyn nodded and toddled out of the room.

After a few minutes, Erin scratched Jay's ear, waking him up.

Jay groaned and opened his eyes.

"What time is it?" Jay mumbled.

Erin checked her clock and replied, "06:00. It's time for some breakfast," Erin said with a smile.

Jay's brain tensed as he replayed the word "breakfast."

"I-I don't want breakfast. I have a tummy ache..." Jay fibbed.

Erin shook her head and propped Jay up.

"You're not playing that card. Your stomach only hurts because it's empty! Let's go!" Erin insisted.

Jay sighed and rose from the bed.

As Erin and Jay entered the dining room, Jay's gaze fell on the food.

"Please..." Jay implored.

Erin grasped Jay's trembling hand and whispered.

"Babe, if you don't eat now, I'll have to call Daniel and take you to Med where they'll force-feed you," Erin said gently.

Tears filled Jay's eyes as he sat down slowly.

Oblivious, Adam placed a full cooked breakfast on Jay's plate.

"No! You promised!" Jay cried out.

He stood up abruptly and dashed toward the bedroom.

"Great, it took forever to get him down here!" Erin exclaimed in frustration.

She rose quickly and followed in Jay's direction.

"What happened?" Adam inquired.

Kim let out a sigh and took a bite of her eggs.

In the bedroom, Jay curled up, drawing his knees to his chest.

Erin crouched and softly caressed his knee.

"You said I wouldn't have to eat a cooked breakfast. Liam even said I shouldn't!" Jay exclaimed.

Erin nodded, offering reassurance.

"I know, sweetheart. Adam was out of touch. How about some strawberries and yogurt instead?" Erin suggested.

Jay pondered for a moment and then nodded.

"No breakfast at all?" Jay inquired.

Erin shook her head, lifting Jay to his feet.

"Just no cooked breakfast. That's a promise," Erin affirmed.

Jay nodded in agreement and followed Erin out.

Erin and Jay were in the dining room, with Erin preparing strawberries and yogurt.

"Here you go, babe," Erin said with a smile.

Jay picked up his fork and began eating.

"Is it good?" Erin asked.

Jay nodded, taking small bites.

As everyone chatted during breakfast, Jay quietly stood up.

Erin glanced over and called out to him.
