The team was gathered in the bullpen while Jay was en route to the district. Suddenly, an assailant approached from behind and subdued him with chloroform.

Jay resisted, attempting to pull away the cloth, but the attacker's grip was too strong.

"Shush, Jay. Relax. You'll be out soon..." came a whisper.

Eventually, Jay's struggles ceased, and he succumbed to unconsciousness.

She smiled, exited the backseat, and opened Jay's door.

After unbuckling Jay's seatbelt, she placed him in the backseat.

Then she got behind the wheel and drove to her house.

Erin entered the bullpen and realized Jay was absent.

"Wasn't Jay supposed to come directly here?" Erin inquired.

Kim glanced at Erin and gave a nod.

"He sent a text saying he'd make a quick stop at Starbucks for coffee," Kim said.

Erin set her coffee on the desk and attempted to call Jay.

"Just voicemail..." Erin whispered.

Hank emerged from his office, observing Jay's absence.

"Where's Halstead?" Hank questioned.

Erin exhaled and faced Hank.

"I'm on the hunt for him," Erin murmured.

Hank nodded as Erin traced Jay's phone.

"His phone is off? That doesn't make sense. He only turns it off when he's going dark or undercover," Erin remarked.

Hank nodded again and leaned over the desk.

"2135 South Wells. That's a lead we can chase!" he declared.

Erin nodded in agreement, and the team hurried downstairs.

Inside the house, Jay was bound to the table while the kidnapper etched a tattoo onto his side.

Stirring awake, Jay realized he was no longer in the district.

"Mmm..." He mumbled groggily.

The captor glanced up, and to Jay's shock, it was Abby.

Jay attempted to move but found himself trapped.

"You can't move, baby..." Abby whispered softly.

Glancing at his hip, Jay observed the three words and a date inscribed there.

Jay looked at it and replied, "Day of death...?"

Abby nodded with a smile. "I'll leave you to settle into your bounds," she said cheerfully.

Once Abby left, Jay sat up and struggled against his ties. With a groan, he managed to break free.

"Ahh..." Jay winced in pain.

He got up and dashed out of the house, finding himself surrounded by fields and a lone tractor. Where was he?

Rushing down the steps, Jay tripped over a stick. "Ugh!" He groaned.

He picked himself up and sprinted towards the road. But as he ran, Abby tripped him again.

"Ugh!" Jay hit the ground with a thud.

He rose and swung a punch at Abby, who countered with a swift punch to Jay's face and torso.

The air was filled with grunts and the sound of wrestling as Abby tripped Jay to the ground.
