The whole team was assembled in the bullpen. Erin and Jay were at their desks when Jay suddenly grimaced in pain.

Erin glanced over and saw her husband's ashen face.

"Babe? What's wrong?" Erin inquired.

Jay held his stomach and exhaled deeply.

"My stomach's feeling off..." Jay responded.

Erin stood up and touched Jay's forehead.

"I'm okay! There's no need to check my forehead!" Jay retorted, clearly fatigued.

Erin noticed her husband's exhaustion. His eyes were weary, and he constantly rested his head on his desk.

"It's okay. Do you want to rest a bit in the breakroom?" Erin asked.

Jay shook his head and closed his eyes.

"You really should. Jay, you seem very tired..." Kim remarked.

Jay sighed and continued with his paperwork.

"Nope! You can barely keep your eyes open. Go lie down in the breakroom. I'll inform Voight. I'm driving you home," Erin insisted.

Jay laid his head on the table as Erin stroked his sweaty hair back.

"Tony, can you look after Jay while I tell Hank? I'm taking Jay home." Erin asked.

"Gotcha covered!" Antonio said with a smile.

Erin thanked her colleague and made her way to Hank's office.

"What can I do for you, Erin?" Hank inquired.

"Jay's not feeling well, and I've got a bit of a stomach ache. So, we're going to head home," Erin explained.

Hank nodded in understanding and signed off on Erin and Jay's early departure.

"Take all the time you need. If you're feeling up to it later, I might need you. If not, I can always have Anna step up to intelligence," Hank suggested.

With a grateful smile, Erin left the office.

Erin gathered her belongings, gently lifted Jay's head as he slept, and switched off his computer.

"Come on, baby. Let's go home," Erin whispered, gently rubbing Jay's back to wake him up.

Jay groaned and let out a soft cry as Erin kept rubbing his back.

"I know you're in pain, baby. The quicker we get home, the quicker you can have a nap in bed," Erin said with a smile.

Jay rose to his feet, his stance unsteady, and felt an increasing dizziness wash over him.

"See y'all later!" Erin said with a smile.

The unit exchanged their goodbyes and watched as Jay leaned on Erin's shoulder.

Erin carefully placed Jay in the front seat and fastened his seatbelt, knowing that his stomach was hurting.

"E-Erin... My tummy..." Jay whimpered.

Erin pouted and gave Jay's tummy a gentle, comforting rub.

"We'll be home soon, babe," Erin reassured.

Erin shut the door, slid into the driver's seat, and passed a Gatorade to Jay.

"This should help settle your stomach until we get home," Erin said.

Jay sipped the energy drink, closed his eyes, and leaned against the cool window.

"Do you want the window open?" Erin asked.

Jay nodded and moved his head away from the window.

"It'll give you some air," Erin said with a smile.

Jay breathed in the fresh air and sighed.

Later, Erin and Jay returned to the apartment. Erin managed to soothe Jay into bed following a bout of crying, which she understood was a symptom of Jay's illness.

Erin was brushing her teeth when she felt her stomach churn.

"No..." Erin whispered.

The toothbrush clattered in the sink as Erin vomited into the toilet bowl.

"Oh, Erin!" someone whispered.

Jay crouched down and tied Erin's hair into a bob.

"I just wanted to brush my teeth. Throwing up wasn't part of the plan," Erin coughed.

Jay sighed and tenderly wiped the dried vomit from his wife's chin and mouth.

"I know, babe! Do you feel like your stomach is going to churn more?" Jay wondered.

Erin considered it and then shook her head.

"I should be fine," Erin confirmed with a nod.

Jay acknowledged and poured a glass of ice water.

"Let's return to bed," Jay whispered.

Erin and Jay got into the bed, and Erin pulled Jay's head towards her lap.

"I thought I was going to spoon you?" Jay asked.

Erin smirked and kissed the top of Jay's head.

"Well, you thought wrong, moron!" Erin said with a smirk.

Jay gently poked Erin's tummy and closed his eyes.

In the middle of the night, Jay began to thrash around in his sleep. Erin woke up and realized her husband was having a nightmare.

"Babe?" she called out to him.

Jay kept thrashing, oblivious to Erin's presence and her voice.

"Jay? It's okay... Come back to me..." Erin said soothingly.

Jay emitted a choked sob and stirred.

"Hey! Hey! It's okay. I'm here. It's Erin..." Erin reassured.

Gradually, Jay ceased thrashing and clutched Erin's hand.

"There you go, babe. It's just me," Erin said with a smile.

Jay opened his eyes and burst into sobs.

"Oh, my sweet love," Erin whispered.

She pulled Jay into her arms and softly shushed him.

Jay wept, clinging to Erin's arm.

"Shh... It's okay, sweetheart. It was just a fever dream..." Erin whispered, comforting him.

Jay's weeping persisted, his cries gradually subsiding.

"That's it. Baby, let's go back to sleep," Erin smiled.

She laid Jay's head on her lap and gently stroked his hair.

"Goodnight, baby," Erin whispered.

Soon after, Jay drifted off to sleep, and Erin did the same.
